Good central Dushanbe hotel with helpful staff

Panorama Hotel was a good hotel, just needing a few small changes to make it even better. It was good to get a free airport pick up from Dushanbe airport to the hotel. Hotel Panorama is convenient located right in the city center, so there are lots of shops and restaurants close by and a lot of the sightseeing attractions are only a short walk away. The hotel had a really helpful and friendly guy on reception who helped us arrange a trip with a driver to Lake Iskanderkul and Hisor Fortress on short notice. There were multiple lifts going up to the hotel, so you never needed to wait too long. There was easy access to water where you could fill up your water bottles. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast buffet was good, with a nice selection of food. On our last day we left Dushanbe late, so they were able to keep our luggage in the storage room. The internet was poor in the rooms, I would often be watching television and the internet would cut out. I often had to sit right by the door entrance to get good internet as it was poor when lying on the bed. The hotel didn't do a proper clean and towel replacement service each day, we had to ask for fresh towels. Overall, the hotel has good potential if the internet was better and a consistent cleaning service. The best thing is definitely the staff who helped us out with booking tours.

Terrible. Went for the water conference. Will never stay here again.

The staff took well over an hour to book us in. Espediallt frustrating since we arrived after 1am. There are different hotels on different levels of the hotel. It’s not called panorama on the front door it’s called firdosia or something.
Then they gave me a room I didn’t ask for. while booking my colleagues and I in, they told us they had no rooms and had the audacity to ask us the three of us to share one room for one night! we refused. They eventually gave us rooms but it was 3am by this point. Later that day I got a knock on the door where a hotel staff member said I had to change rooms - which they didn’t inform me about when checking in. They took me to a smaller room with twin beds. I told them this is not what I booked or paid for. They said just for one night. I said no. after a half an hour wait they finally gave me the room I booked. Three room changes in one day. The phone in the room didn’t work. They didn’t clean my room and when they did they left no toilet paper. so because the phones didn’t work I had to go downstairs from the 16th floor to ask for it. There were a whole host of other issues that I can’t be bothered to write about. I would never stay here again. stick to the big chains.
