Everything about this place is just wonderful. Perfect stay for solo traveler to relax, couples or even family.

This place is amazing and so relaxing. Staff are very friendly, helpful and kind (especially Veronica and iddie) they made me feel at home. The overall vibe and ambiance was incredible. I didn’t want to leave. Unforgettable experience. Thank you

Last time

We were given a very small claustrophobic hot room, not suitable for the 3 it was intended for. And as they didn’t have an alternative we left the next day. In the 7 years since I was last there the hotel has smartened up a little, but the massive half built development on the beach has spoilt everything. We won’t be returning

Loud music day and night

Sagando Bungalows are situated next to a big hotel where the music is very loud, day and night. You cannot rest in the evenings, you cannot rest in the mornings.
When I arrived, the first thing I was told is that this is a very quiet place, this is untrue!
When I went to complain about the noise at the reception, I was told they should stop the music at 10 o'clock clock. This again was untrue. The loud music continued into the early hours of the morning and then all day again.
In my room I had massive giant ants. It was terrifying. I had to sleep with my luggage next to me in the bed. I didn't want the ants to nest in my backpack. When I complained about it, they brought and insect repellent and I had to sleep in that smell. Shouldn't this be done before the guest arrives?
When I arrived there was no electricity until late at night and was no Internet either. All I could do was to listen to next door's loud music.
I had 3 nights booked but needles to say I left the next morning. I wanted to save my holiday from disaster.
I requested a refund for two nights. Initially I was told the manager is on its way with my money, than after two hours of waiting I was told the manager is not coming anymore and I should email to receive my the refund. I emailed, I sent messages on WhatsApp, I asked my zanzibarian contact to get in touch with them but I received no refund and no response.
If you don't want to ruin your holiday, don't book this place. My experience was awful.

Fantastic

We only went to eat in the restaurant and it was fantastic! In addition to the very nice place, we ate very well! 2 giant lobsters with chips and vegetables at a more than fair price! Furthermore, the staff was very kind and welcomed us, making us feel at home surrounded by friends!

Glorious place

If you want local culture, friendliest of people, deserted beaches - amazing sunsets and peace and quiet then this is the best. The accomodation is basic - but has everthing you need. The food is good and wholsome; the staff are so lovely, so happy and friendly, nothing is too much trouble - a big thank you to Veronica (from 'Big Boss) she was like a sister to me! I'd be happy to go back in a heartbeat. This place is so chilled...it is like paradise on earth.
