Excellent stay at Ondo House!!!

Small, intimate hotel, everything was perfect! Close to the villagers and the beach. The staff is very attentive, extremely kind; thanks to Justin who was mindful of our well-being. The breakfasts and meals are very good and hearty. The rooms are clean and pleasant.

We were very pleased. We'd be back again!

This place is wonderful! 50 meters to the ocean. The beach is great, with prices lower than in nearby Kendwa. You can walk both ways along the beach, I recommend. Rooms were cleaned every day, towels changed, beach towels. The bed is changed on request. The staff are all super.
The most raisin of this place is its territory with a swimming pool and beautiful paths, growing maracuja right overhead, in the evening it is nice to sit on the terrace. Breakfasts are the same, you can't eat over, but that was enough. Who can't without sweets, I recommend bringing candy) and bring coffee, a plastic mug and a simmer to brew ground coffee. They serve instant mumble for breakfast, I didn't drink.
Price-quality is fully in line.

Corruptive practices by the staff

Things were just fine concerning the property itself, the challenge came when me and my friend were checking out to go to stone town and some other house guests had already paid for a ride, we asked if we could ride with them? They immediately said yes! However the Ondo House manager and the van driver huddled together and decided to charge us an additional fee to ride with the guests. We all (passengers) thought that was pretty unscrupulous and borderlined corruption. We felt like we had been swindled.

I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with this hotel owner. We paid $2,700 for what was clearly sold to us as a 3-day tour, but after payment it was suddenly reduced to only 2 days with no proper explanation or refund.
To make matters worse, we were left at the airport without any transportation arranged, despite this being part of what was discussed. Since then, the owner has ignored our messages and refused to respond or take responsibility.
This felt unprofessional, misleading, and very stressful—especially when traveling. I would strongly caution others to be very careful, get everything in writing, and reconsider booking here. Also the hotel we stayed was a 38 dollar a night in the middle of the city all was a scam
