Great place to stay for a city break in Barcelona!
This hostel was great! I have never stayed at a hostel before and normally we stay in fancy hotels, but I was SO impressed, and would recommend anyone coming to Barcelona to stay here.
We stayed in the superior double room with balcony.
The location was amazing, so central, we walked everywhere most days! Very close to the rambla, but just far enough to be quieter.
The room was perfectly adequate, nice comfortable bed, working bathroom and lovely balcony view. Very clean, no complaints.
The service was great, and there were pastries and fruit with coffee available throughout the day.
Overall, we had a great stay, and if I come back to Barcelona I will definitely stay here again. I have already recommended to friends and family.

Disappointing Experience
The hotel was in a great location. The hotel allowed us to store our luggage.
We booked the economy double as that was the only room left. The room is very small for 2 people and luggage 1 case and 2 rucksacs bags.
We identified a fault with the shower temp in the room on the check in night..this meant we could not use our on suite shower and had no hot water during our night stay. There was no spare room to move us too but we was offered to use an overflow room shower down corridors .
The bedding had a damp smell. The pillow were flat and end of life and had no pillow protection case.
Overall a disappointing stay for comfort and we did not get a satisfactory resolution to our complaint by the hotel or booking company.

There was a grocery two doors down which was convenient. We didn't have a balcony. Would have liked to have a hair dryer in the room. They needed to have some directions as to how to get to the hostel once you entered the building. Everyone was very nice and they kept our luggage until we could check in. It was quiet at night and bed was comfortable. Our room was small but nice and clean. Would stay here again.

ABUSIVE PRICE FOR LOUSY QUALITY
Nothing to do with the photos you see on booking.
A tiny room. The entrance door hits the bed when opening and the other side with the windows the same thing happens. To get around the room you have to go sideways.
It does not have a wardrobe, all there are are hangers hanging on the wall with a shelf and a bookshelf. If you carry a suitcase you will have to leave it in the middle and standing but since there is no room to move, you will not be able to pass where you leave it.
Sheets and pillows with stains and I don't think I've ever seen towels so old, rough and also somewhat dirty, they're so old that it's hard to dry with them because they scrape the skin.
The shower curtain is fabric and also has brown spots. In the shower there is no gel of any kind or a place to leave yours apart from on the floor.
A couple of days before our arrival we tried to advise that due to an income from a family member we would return before the scheduled date, in the Booking Reservation we were given the ok for the return of the last night we were not going to be, but upon arrival at the establishment we were told that it was not possible and finally we had to pay the entire Reservation without the return of the last night we were not going to be. (Almost 500€ for 3 nights)
We wanted to cancel and change hotels for all the above and for the abusive price in relation to the facilities, but we were informed that they would charge the amount anyway.
In short, a site scam, abusive prices and a good lot of dirt.

Excellent location. Near everything. Needs better signage. I walked past twice before I found it.
