Algarabía en la plaza
Lugar emblemático que debes visitar si paseas por Cádiz. La plaza de la Catedral está llena de vida a cualquier hora que pases. Restaurantes, bares, pastelerías, heladerías...riegan la plaza llenándola de algarabía.

HORRIBLE, FORGETTABLE
If I had to rate it in two words they would be “Horrible stay”
I will start from the beginning, as soon as we entered we found some quite high stairs to access the apartments, which makes it ideal for carrying suitcases up and down... children... etc.
There were 3 families with children, 10 people in total, and we stayed in the two apartments on the first floor; mine in particular was the first one on the left.
The whole thing is nonsense, but I am going to start with what I truly consider intolerable in terms of being able to rent an apartment without some indisputable minimums, THE BEDS.
I cannot describe how I felt the 3 nights I spent there. Unacceptable mattress, bed base with the same characteristics. The sides would lift up and the center would sink completely. We could not sleep well or rest properly any day.
Just with this, it is not viable to have a tourist apartment rented out in these conditions. Besides, it was full of dents everywhere, horrible. I never imagined finding beds like these in any hotel or apartment; in fact, I have never found them in this state or anything remotely similar in any accommodation before.
There is only one air conditioning unit in the living room that does not even cool the room well; the two bedrooms on the other side of the house each have a fan, one of which was never turned on because it was better to be hot than to endure the noise it made while running.
The bathroom is super narrow; you had to juggle to be able to enter and sit on the toilet, the door would not close—wonderful for two families to share.
The windows in two of the bedrooms were tiny, making it impossible to ventilate well.
The bedspread on my bed was ripped.
Super old apartment and decor just as ancient.
Let's move on to the kitchen; the freezer drawers were dirty when we arrived, and there is a lack of kitchen items that are essential and that I have always found in other apartments except in this one.
Ants all over the kitchen counter, and that is even though we ate lunch and dinner out because we were disgusted by anything that had to do with that kitchen.
There was neither shampoo nor shower gel, and only one towel per person, so you had to choose between drying your body or your hair when you showered because you only had the same one for everything, and well, if you washed your hands in the meantime, you know, you had to look for your shower towel to dry them too. At least, I will say, it was nice that there was a towel/bath mat to share among everyone for feet when getting out of the shower.
In summary: dirt, a super old apartment that needs a complete renovation, doors that do not close, lack of ventilation in interior rooms, lack of air conditioning that was totally insufficient, the Wi-Fi was terrible, and poor access via stairs with high steps.
As a souvenir, you can take a photo from the stairs of the first-floor beams held up with shims so that you can sleep peacefully knowing that the apartment did not collapse on you once you rest safely in your homes.
Parking in the area is impossible.
The little that is available is all blue zone, but it is very complicated to park, and the parking lot is usually always full.
I will mention as the only thing in its favor that it is close to the cathedral and close to some things that must be visited.
Conclusion from ten people staying in Cádiz in August 2026 about the apartment: “FORGETTABLE”; it is a good thing we took away the beautiful memory of the city and all its charm, and that is what we are keeping.

Disastrous

The facilities were super old, the windows didn't close well.
The refrigerator drawer was dirty, the air conditioning was constantly dripping, the sofa was half-broken, the Wi-Fi didn't even work, the sheets had those little balls that form when they are super old, and the mattresses—I'd better leave that without comment (disastrous).
The bathroom is super small; when you sit on the toilet, your knees almost touch the wall, and that's saying something since I'm not tall, and the walls had dampness.
I must say that I wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy; I have never stayed in an apartment with such terrible facilities, price-quality ratio... I feel scammed.

AWFUL.
In fact I am right now on the street, I booked a room a month ago because pets were allowed, when a while ago I arrived with my two chihuahuas, of one kilo two hundred grams each and my gauge, in full staircase and without being able to leave even the travel bag we were docked by the cleaning girls and after contacting the owner wanted to charge us 40 € per pet, saying that the room was given to us... room???
To flip....humans!!!! Do not make a reservation in this place if after climbing two floors of irregular scarlets do not allow you to pass to your room, if you do not pay a tribute that nor the Inquisition.

Senior lord spies on us
The place is in the center, but the apartment is scarce. The cleanliness is quite improveable and the worst thing for us is that it touched us on the second floor and there was always always an elderly gentleman behind the door. No matter what time you went out there I was kind of painting or stuffed in a room next to the apartment, but always behind our door like listening. It was VERY disturbing.
