Terrible experience.

I just stayed at this hotel with a group of Under 16 athletes to participate in an international tournament in Tordera, and unfortunately, the experience was very negative.
I should mention that the hotel was almost exclusively occupied by soccer teams, with boys aged 13 to 17. Despite this, the staff often appeared hostile, unhelpful, and on some occasions, exhibited attitudes that clearly suggested a bias against Italians.
Even knowing that all guests were engaged in tournament matches, no flexibility was shown regarding the opening and closing hours of the dining hall. On the day of departure, for example, we were unable to take advantage of either breakfast or lunch, and the substitute meal provided to us was nothing short of scandalous.
Furthermore, we were accused of disrespectful and rude behavior, accompanied by an unacceptable generalization such as: "it's the Italians' fault." I want to clarify that we were just a small group within a facility that hosted numerous Italian and foreign teams. Moreover, our group received a Fair Play award for our behavior both on and off the field.
In general, in addition to not receiving an adequate welcome, we felt that the management was unable to handle the issues that arose. In the face of problems, instead of seeking solutions, there was a tendency to shift responsibility onto others.
A disappointing experience that does not reflect the hospitality standards expected from a facility that hosts international sports groups.

MUST NOT GO AT ALL COST!!!!

Rude staff, no helpful information lies on what they got food is terrible I wouldn’t even feed it to my dog. Drinks were awful had to constantly go out for a decent drink even though we were all inclusive, no entertainment, no space at all, one pool …. Very small. Doesn’t do pool snacks, not very clean, definitely not a 4 star hotel more like a 1 star hotel. Everything that good about this hotel is the shops and beach is close by

Poor

They show 4 * but it is far from 4
Rooms poor , very dated , not to clean either.
No English tv , only Spanish .
No kettle no iron in the room .
The only good thing it is location- close to shops restaurants and beach
Would back to callers but to different hotel

Don't do it!

It's terrible. Staff are unfriendly and uninterested. By breakfast, they look like they've had it. Then the rooms, in itself fine, but our mirror was extremely gross, and the room was only cleaned after 4 days for the first time. We had to ask for clean towels ourselves, because they had not replaced them. We also ran out of toilet paper the last day, but were afraid to ask because we were stared away. So I brought a roll downstairs so we had something. Food was very boring, little choice and if you are vegetarian you have to make do with fries or potatoes and lettuce without taste. Of the 6 days, I have actually only been able to eat well for one day. Breakfast was good, but I didn't dare to take on the coffee machine anymore. I put my cup under it and out came a lot of fruit flies, very dirty. We also had all inclusive, but that wasn't quite right either. The website said including snacks, but as an All Inclusive Customer you had to pay at least 3.50 per snack. And then the average guests out there, 80 to 90% are British, and unfortunately she lived up to the stereotype enormously. All super noisy, take 0 into account others, scoop up their plates and don't even eat half. I really can NOT recommend this hotel, save yourself the money and choose something else. The only positive thing I have to report is the location, it is a minute or 6 walk from the beach, which was nice. So we've mostly been there!

Bad experience

Please, if you are considering booking Summer Hotel Calella, save yourself the stress and disappointment and look elsewhere. This place is an absolute disaster.
From the moment we arrived, our room was crawling with ants. Not just a few – they were everywhere: on the bed, under the pillows, on the walls. After what felt like a battle with the staff, we were finally moved to another room, but things only got worse.
The “new” room had no electricity. Every time we came back, the power was off. When we complained, we were told to “flick the switch” on the circuit board ourselves – completely unsafe and unacceptable. I refused, and instead my partner had to go downstairs constantly so staff could switch it back on. Can you imagine wasting part of your holiday every single day just to beg for electricity?
The food… honestly, I have no words. Stone cold, covered in flies, and barely any variety. We were all-inclusive and couldn’t even bring ourselves to eat there more than once. That should say it all.
The pool was never cleaned. A piece of paper floated in it from the day we arrived until the day we left – untouched, like everything else in this hotel.
The noise was unbearable. I suffer from epilepsy, and sleep is absolutely vital for me. Yet it was impossible to rest. Every night there were people screaming, fighting, and running up and down the corridors until the early hours. Staff made no effort to step in – instead, they just kept pouring out alcohol with zero limits, fueling the chaos.
We complained through Love Holidays, only for the hotel to respond with lies, claiming they had sent an electrician to fix the issue. They hadn’t. Nothing was ever resolved
This hotel ruined our holiday. It is unsafe, dirty, noisy, and completely mismanaged. Please, avoid this place at all costs – it is nothing but a nightmare and certainly not 4*
