Amazing and very pleasant
A nice little apartment for a relaxing night.
Not knowing the area we thought we were closer to Tudela and Bardenas but it was also not at 1h
The spa was clean but bubbles ♂️
He seemed to see a technician after our visit.
Coffee maker, orange juice, water and cupcakes in the room.

Home grown goodness
They have a beautiful olive grove, vegetable garden and a tree with the most delicious apricots! Their dogs, called Africa and Golf, are very cute. On our first night there we excited to watch a huge hail storm pass by. It is a great base for visiting the remarkable Bardenas National Park where we were privileged to see vultures and eagles.

Perfect place to stay with dogs
We only stayed for 1 night on our drive through Spain but it’s perfect - you can park the car right outside your apartment, everything you need is in the kitchen and the grounds are enclosed so freely able to walk round with our dogs. The owner was extremely helpful & although the restaurant was closed - which we knew beforehand - there is the option of room service. Will def stay on our next drive through

Not as advertised
We arrived at this location after a 7 hour drive through france. We booked this on a sunday and when we arrived there was no bar no food other than bread and jam and no bar. They advertise that there is lunch dinner and snacks available but there are not. The nearest town was a 30 euro ride away by taxi to get food and drinks in the evening we were therefore not prepared to stay at the hotel for this reason and currently the hotel is disputing our refund request

much below expectations
I spent in the hotel two days with my three children in an apartment, expecting to enjoy visiting Bardenas; unfortunately our experience was much below our expectation.
The 'hotel' is next to a very noisy road, accesible only when driving towards Cascante (otherwise you have to drive ahead and u-turn). Wifi did not work for me on my iPhone (the hotel claimed it worked for the rest of the world and offered me no solution).Apartments have no shadow and it is very uncomfortable to be outside under the sun (not to mention flies and bugs). The parcel is small and heavily walled (resembling more the facilities of a refugee camp than an expensive hotel). Worst of all, we could not book any bike activities at the hotel to visit Bardenas as we wished (they kindly gave us the number of a suitable bike business in another village).
Most of the advertised activities/sightseeing suggested in their website are wonderful and worth a trip to Navarra. However, they are mostly unrelated to the hotel and they do not help you at all to enjoy them; I'd suggest many other alternative accommodation to enjoy Navarra more conveniently (and inexpensively).
I was so disappointed on my first day, that I wanted to move to another hotel; they would not let me cancel my second night (the penalty was to pay it fully). Their lack of empathy and help further ruined my stay.
After the stay I discovered that the website announces a 10% discount for big families like mine (familia numerosa), and asked for it. They replied that the discount is only valid for phone/email bookings; apparently it does not apply to direct bookings in their website (or other webs). I am further disappointed with their poor customer service and will forward a complain to our local authorities.
The hotel apartments are very nice, comfortable and spacious; and the art inside is great. It is a shame that this quality is not matched by the service and attitude of the owner. I wish they improve their services to reach the level of most hotels in Navarra.

Many thanks for your first review in Tripadvisor. Even both of us are Spaniards , I will also answer you in english as it sounds more international , right ? Nevertheless, let me reply your review with some clarifications
As you said, WIFI did not work in YOUR devices . Such a pitty as it perfectly worked in all devices from our other clients, even in my Iphone where hotel WIFI worked in the whole property so...what could we do if you were the only one without WIFI connection?
It is funny to hear that there is no shadow in our appartments and that there is very umconfortable to sit outside as every appartment features a furnished terrace with a 3m tent that brings up shadow all day long. Moreover, we are located in a private state with more than 500 trees so till now, none of our guest had an issue finding a relaxing place to just sit back and enjoy their time.
It is also quite surprising to hear that the parcel is very small and that is heavily walled as a refugee camp as the truth is that our private state sizes 25,000sq meters and the only wall is the fence that surrounds the state, just to provide safety and excluisivity to our guests as they will leave and sleep peacefully knowing that their child can run and play with total safety during their stay
Regarding bugs and flies, yes, you have booked an appartemt which is located in a countryside , not in the city center, so you might find some insects but this is something implicit in the natural surrounding, right? A recommendation: if you close the door of your appartment, flies will not get into it (as you had left it open during the day)
At your arrival, we proposed you different activities like our guided quad and buggy tours but you were more interested in a bike tour dicovering Bardenas. As you did not have the possibility to put our bikes in your car and go to Bardenas , we have offered the same option that all the other tourists use to book : to rent bikes in Arguedas, the closest rental point to visit Bardenas, but you were a bit dissapointed because you thought that there will be a company that will bring you the bikes to Castilldetierra . Please note that any company offers that service, the only option, like we usually do , is for private groups that contact us to book a private event with a minimum number of participants previously scheduled.
I still remember that you called me at the reception to know what will happen in case of not staying the second night booked and when I was trying to explain you our cancellation policy, you hanged up the phone, so I did not have the opportunity to explain you the conditions that you had previously accepted.
About your complaint of the “Large families discount” that arrived a few days after your check out has an e-mail. We have decided to not consider it for different reasons. Firstly , it did not match up with our general conditions published in our website and secondly, because we do not accept blackmailing from guest asking us giving refunds over unfair complaints.

Igualmente hay algunos aspectos que nos gustaría mencionar
Como usted bien dice el WIFI no funcionaba en SU Iphone ya que como bien le mostramos, tanto en los apartamentos como en el resto delos espacios exteriores , asi como en nuestros dispositivos y en los de de los demás clientes funcionaba perfectamente. En ese caso, ¿que solución podemos darle si usted era el único que no podía conectarse ?
Todos los apartamentos disponen de terraza exterior con un toldo vela que da sombra al mobiliario exterior de cada una de las terrazas. Además, al estar ubicados en una amplia finca privada con más de 500 arboles, encontrar un poco de sombra no suele ser un problema, quizás sólo tendría que haber desplazado un poco su silla. Respecto al tamaño de la propia finca, según usted pequeña y altamente vallada como un campamento militar, tan sólo volver a mencionar que disponemos de más de 25,000m2 y que la única valla es la que rodea la propia finca, más que nada para poder dar seguridad y exclusividad al resto de los clientes que aprecian poder dejar correr y jugar a sus hijos con total tranquilidad. Y sí, estamos en un entorno natural, rodeados de árboles y vegetación por lo que hay moscas, hormigas, salamandras , y si deja la puerta de su apartamento abierta todo el día, como hizo usted, es posible que entren.
Recuerdo que a su llegada le propusimos realizar alguna de nuestras rutas en quad o buggy pero nos contestó que tenía pensado recorrer Bardenas en bici y como buenos conocedores del sector y de nuestro entorno, le propusimos la opción de reservar las bicis en el establecimiento más cercano a Bardenas ya que no disponía del espacio necesario ni de bola de remolque para colocar nuestro porta-bicis en su vehículo y así llevarse nuestra bicis . Su sorpresa fue descubrir que no hay ninguna empresa dentro del parque natural que alquile las bicis, pero bueno , tal y como ya le explicamos, la gran mayoría de los turistas que vienen a recorrer Bardenas en bici las alquilan allí y hasta ahora, ellos no han tenido ningún problema. Tal y como le informamos, no hay ningún negocio que realice el transporte de la bicis para clientes individuales a Bardenas y en nuestro caso, Activa Experience, ofrece dicho servicio sólo para grupos concertados con presupuesto aceptado previamente.
En lo que se refiere a la cancelación de su segunda noche, tal y como está detallado en nuestra condiciones de reserva, el cargo es del 100 % , pero estas condiciones generales son las mismas que aplican la gran mayoría de los hoteles. Esta misma información es la que intenté transmitirle por teléfono ya que no quiso hablar conmigo personalmente y me colgó.
Y ya para terminar, el descuento de familia numerosa que nos solicitó días después de su salida, no se lo aplicamos por no cumplir las condiciones publicadas en nuestra web y por no querer ceder a su amenaza de poner una queja/denuncia tal y como ha realizado. Los hoteleros estamos “sufriendo” una nueva tendencia por parte de los “clientes chantajistas” que creen que con la amenaza de escribir críticas en redes sociales pueden lograr beneficios injustificados durante su estancia.
