Great trip, the hostel and unique Basin.

It is a hostel that lacks nothing. On the outside it is very beautiful and inside it is beautiful, you can see the mountain rock on its walls. The very nice pictures, painted by the owner (Pepa). Comfortable mattresses and pillow. The bathroom and the room very nice, with lots of light, with balcony and views of the church, the river Jucar and the city. All super clean and very quiet. The breakfast very rich I recommend, prepared at the time and lots of quantity.
There is an unregulated parking area.
Last and foremost, the owners, Pepa and Jesus, are lovely, they treat you like you are family, very good people and the dog is also very good and affectionate.

Flirty hostel with all the comforts and good service.

Very nice hostel with private bathroom and all amenities. The view is very nice. It is not noisy at all and rests very well. The decor has a rustic feel and antique-style furniture. It is my near the River at the foot of the ancient city. Do not be discouraged by climbing the slope to the old part as it is worth the walk. The personalized attention of the owners is welcome. Breakfast is made to your liking. Highly recommended!

LOVELY PEOPLE, WILL IT BE BECAUSE OF THE CITY CHARMING...? We have been delighted

The accommodation is run by a couple and are CHARMING, the accommodation is very flirty and with good views of the river area, you can park on the street without major complications. They offer you a fairly complete breakfast, coffee, milk and cocoa, toast, tomato, oil, ham, cold meat and freshly cut pieces of fruit. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. The small drawback stairs to access, but otherwise very WELL

Cozy and confortable!

When you go to a new town it’s hard when you are alone and don’t know anyone. In my case I was lucky to have booked my stay in the beautiful hostal. Both owners Pepa and Jesus have really put their heart and soul into this place creating a lovely atmosphere. They really know how to treat new comers like myself.
All the accommodations are perfect comfortable. I felt at home, both dogs o got to meet where really cute and well trained.
I rate this place 10/10.
Definitely recommend!!!

truly incredible experience

if anyone is ever in cuenca (which is a gorgeous city i recommend visiting) i HIGHLY recommend staying here at the hostel de la luz. it’s incredibly cute and quirky, with amazing artwork by one of the owners, pepa, downstairs, beautiful balconies in the 2nd floor rooms and gorgeous plants on the balconies and outside. the balconies provide amazing views of cuenca and the location is right next to the gorgeous rio jucar. the hostel is comfortable, clean, and if you’re lucky you’ll get to see some of the owners adorable dogs. the owners, pepa and jesus, are incredibly kind and hospitable hosts and made the stay so much better. pepa is so sweet and jesus will bring a smile to your face. the hostel is in a cute neighborhood, right next to a church and some great graffiti artwork. cuenca is a hidden gem of spain and this hostel is the gem of cuenca, i’ll definitely be returning with more friends to share the great experience i had here.
