Charming old farmhouse!

We returned 3 years later and everything is the same, except that now there is Wifi that works as it should in the rooms. The breakfast was very good and the price for being so close to Donosti and Hondarribia is good. Parking is appreciated, we will return in summer if possible.

Bad experience

The bed makes a lot of noise and the walls of the rooms are like smoking paper, you hear absolutely everything even talking very low, between rooms a door q is to communicate with each other, even worse to avoid hearing everything, the towel rail and holder of the bathroom very badly placed, you gave yourself beatings continuously, only the environment in which the Hotel is located carries an approved how also the cleaning and treatment of the staff... I do not recommend it at all, a shame.

Once and never again

The entire hotel needs a general overhaul, there is clearly a need for renovation. The mold cultures on the shower curtains alone can be described as historic. The employee who received us and also said goodbye again seemed very unmotivated and unfriendly to us. The first room offered had the window to the street/roundabout and was above the restaurant terrace. Because of this and because of the very musty smell, we demanded another room. Previously, I briefly looked at the thrown-together parts of the hotel, so that only rooms 201-208 were eligible. These are located in the rear annex and have a view over the hotel parking lot to the forest. Also here musty smell, which was improved by intensive ventilation. The beds were more flatbeds, badass and very loudly creaking with every move. The whole facility is in rather poor condition. Only a 15-minute drive away is the beautiful village of Hondarribia with many small hotels, guesthouses and restaurants. There we would try to stay on a next visit to the area. This hotel, the place Gurutzberri and the surrounding area itself are only suitable for driving through and past, just don't stop!

Lousy hotel, we'll never repeat.

Bad experience. First of all the unpleasant and stupid treatment of the owners, they are two brothers and worse. The dirty rooms fall short, with dampness, hair on the floor, dust in the closet, the shower curtain disgustingly dirty. Breakfast for a week they were giving us the same thing, cookies, toast and peach jam neither deigned to change our taste every day. The only good thing the cleaning girls tried to make our stay better thanks to their kindness.
We'd never come back.

I will not go back and do not recommend it

GOOD :
Very nice establishment which deserves more attention.
Comfortable bedding.
Hoteliers who speak French.
LESS GOOD :
Unwelcoming hoteliers, not very friendly and above all not at customer service.
Unresolved dispute regarding a "Spain Internet" SIM card that I had delivered to this establishment, in preparation for our stay in Spain. The sender and the carrier have provided all the information allowing them to track the shipment and delivery, but they claim to have received nothing...
Parking to avoid if you care about the underbody of your car!
Questionable cleanliness of the bathroom: hair everywhere, limescale on the wall and the shower mixer and the bottom of the wooden uprights of the cabin are completely rotten.
The sink faucet that threatens to stay in your hands.
Soundproofing non-existent.
And what to think, when you discover a previous client's underwear and socks in the closet drawer and gloves in the office drawer???
