We had a fantastic experience at Hotel Belvedere in Salou. Without a doubt, one of the highlights was the mini-disco, especially thanks to the dark-haired entertainer who leads the dancing and gets the kids excited.

3.5 For Sure

My clients review:
Came with my son before school starts so tbh wanted something cheap and cheerful.
Mixed feelings about this place, firstly when we arrived it was CHAOTIC, not what i normally book for us but it was MANIC.
The hotel noise level is LOUD like very LOUD in the evening it’s QUIETTTTTT some people making noise and dragging chairs but apart from that fine
A days before we came there apparently was a flood so there was a damp in the lobby everyday which led to the cafeteria
I have never experienced Sunbed wars and didn’t think it was a real thing until I came here - the sunbeds were filthy they either need to be replaced or washed properly because they were SO dirty!
Clumps of hair in and around the pool, the amount of people that use the pool they should close it for an hour in the afternoon for a clean or refresh and reopen after lunch because it gets PACKED and it’s small.
Bedrooms, if you’re a family of 3/4 get 2 rooms, the rooms are small and only good for 2 people it’s a tight space.
Tv is small doesn’t work WiFi keeps cutting out like every 10 mins.
They need to work on house keeping as they don’t change bedsheets or pillows I realised this day before we were leaving.
Floors need to be cleaned properly as the were horrible, like need a proper scrub.
Food, now if you’re not picky you’ll be fine, they had pizza which was 10/10 seafood, meats, and pastas. The roast chicken was 10/10 as it was cooked SO WELL and juicy!
My son was fine with chops, spaghetti and pasta with chicken the whole time as it was nice.
I only did half board breakfast and dinner but the gap in between can be a bit much for the kids, I just made sandwiches for lunch and had some cookies and snacks. You have good shops and the beach near by so you’ll find something - buy bottled water as there’s none in the room.
The hotel is near residents so they had to turn down the entertainment at a certain time, BUT the team did a great job as it was EVERY NIGHT well done.
Travel - REUS airport is closer Barcelona airport is FAR 1 hour and some minutes €100+ BUT There’s a coach from the hotel that takes you directly to Salou for €19 DONT get a cab it could cost you up to €300 one way!
Apart from the cleanliness we had a good time, I just had to clean as soon as I got in the room and a few times after

Honest review.

Just back from a weeks holiday here,
Firstly I will start with the positives.
The hotel is in great location, near to the beach, shops and centre.
The kids entertainment staff are amazing
and work so hard!
Negatives,
Arrived to be told the room wasn't ready.
The room is small we had to put our cases on the balcony and live out of them that way. The floors were filthy in the apartment from arrival to checkout.
Complained about ants, (not talking about a couple) talking about them in the bed, up the walls, everywhere. Was told they wud do a deep clean! They just sprayed the room and changed the bedding.
You hav to queue for a sun lounger from 8am, which means half ur family go for breakfast and the other half queue and then swap over or u hav no chance of a lounger.
The pool is tiny, my son was scratched down his back (by accident) but like I say there is no room in the pool. When u swim ur hands get full of clumps of hair!
The food is repetitive, u can guess what will be served before u go in and it's only just warm.
This hotel could be amazing if they halved the occupancy instead of over crowding and tweaked a few things!

Rooms are made available once cleaning and inspection have been completed, within the hotel’s established check-in schedule. Our rooms meet the approved capacity requirements, although we understand that some families may prefer additional space and storage.
When the ants were reported, the room was treated and the bedding replaced. Applying the appropriate product is part of the specific treatment required for this type of incident. If the problem persists or its severity requires it, reception must be informed again so that a further intervention or room change can be assessed.
During peak periods, demand for sunbeds is high. Their use is monitored and unattended belongings are removed after the established time to prevent prolonged reservations. The pool operates within its authorised capacity and undergoes regular cleaning, filtration and water-quality controls.
Our buffet offers different dishes, with food temperatures monitored throughout each service. Nevertheless, we take note of your comments regarding variety, cleanliness and temperature for internal review.
The hotel operates within its legally authorised occupancy, so reducing its capacity by half is not a realistic measure. However, we recognise that high-season demand can affect guests’ perception of space, and we will continue reviewing operational improvements.

Great hotel! pity about the lifeguard at the pool

Just back from a week here. Location excellent short walk from the beach and Salou center. Food good, always something to eat, bit samey by the end of the week, as any hotel. Housekeeping excellent. Room a bit small we had 2 adults and 10&12 year old but it was fine. Entertainment aimed at younger children. Sunbed wars in the morning but no need as we always got a sunbed. Only negative was the lifeguard at the pool, my daughter had a round floaty that was only slightly too big. The lifeguard blew the whistle took me over told me my daughter had to get the floaty out immediately. I advised she wasn't confident in the water he told 'not my problem ' I asked him if he had arm bands we could use he said 'not my problem ' and to buy a floaty in the shop in hotel. I said it was closed and didn't open for an hour. I said could she not just use the floaty she had until the shop opened. He said 'do you not understand English she needs to get the floaty out and proceeded to go to reception and get the receptionist out to me. I honestly couldn't understand why she was not allowed in the pool with the floaty for an hour until the hotel shop opened it was slightly bigger than the allowed size- you can measure them by the pool. His attitude was awful he was very rude. I think he seemed to enjoy being rude to people it was very strange. I would not stay at this hotel again because of the lifeguards bad attitude. It's a pity because the hotel is lovely.

Good family hotel

Location good short walk to beach, town, food excellent good choices, pool was nice bit very busy at this time of year, good activities around the pool, had to queue for sunbeds, only did this 2 days, we went out for the day and found we could get one in.the afternoon once people started moving and as it was so.hot the days in the sun were long so you could be out there quite late, the rooms were clean but quite snug which was OK except nowhere to put cases, entertainment seemed to be a oneman band , he worked throughout the day doing different activities always friendly and engaging with people, really good, the kids disco was OK but after that the night entertainment wasn't the best so we walked into town, all in all a good family hotel and I would choose again if going to Salou
