Great hotel. Pool not family friendly
Rooms were clean and tidy with a fridge. Beds comfortable. Sofa bed ok for younger kids.
Breakfast great and again super staff Ruben and team were super helpful and introduced themselves. For a hotel this size that was good.
The pool is an issue with the family. It is shared with the gym and there are quite a few serious lengths swimmers. The kids got warned constantly about balls and playing and everything else that kids do. You also could not see the kids from the loungers so an issue with young kids.
Other than that fab hotel.

We are sorry, however, that the swimming pool situation affected your family’s experience. During your stay, our indoor swimming pool, where swimming is normally carried out, was temporarily closed for maintenance. This meant that the outdoor pool was busier than usual and, unfortunately, there were more guests using it for lane swimming. This is not the usual situation, and we sincerely regret that it made it more difficult for your children to enjoy the pool freely.
Nonetheless, we are glad you enjoyed our breakfast service and appreciated the attentive approach of team members like Ruben. Our location, just a short stroll to the beach and close to the city’s highlights, also makes discovering San Sebastián convenient for our guests.

Very disappointing stay for a 4* hotel
We were overcharged twice - the first occasion was very minor and the second occasion (on checkout) was rectified after I queried it.
We asked for bedding to be changed midway through a 7 night stay - it was not. On some occasions after the room was serviced we were lucky to be left with one small plastic bottle of water between 2 people.
The food in the snack bar was overpriced and portion sizes were small in comparison to local restaurants.
The hot plates at breakfast did not keep the food warm.
There were no gym facilities other than a local gym attached to the hotel which charged €8 per person per session - I have never stayed in a 4* hotel that required guests to pay for the gym- this resulted in very limited use of the facility.
Furthermore, we felt that the hotel parking charges were very expensive!
Crucially, the photos on the website of the pool area are very misleading. A large proportion (the majority) of the sun lounger area is reserved exclusively for members of the local gym and we were told not to use them. As a result the area available to hotel guests was very cramped and overcrowded. Additionally some umbrellas were broken and ratty - this made the pool area look neglected.
Finally on leaving the hotel (at 9am) we noticed that the outside terrace area was littered with dirty ashtrays, wine bottles and dirty glasses from the previous evening.
In conclusion we do not feel we experienced a 4* hotel stay and would not recommend this property if you are looking for an upmarket stay.

Lovely hotel
10/15 mins walk to the far end of La Concha beach and about 30 mins to the old town. Also 16 bus can take you around if you don’t want to do too much walking.
