A hidden little gem

I have Just got back after a 5 day break, I had friends staying at the Palm Star, and I needed a base nearby to them, my budget as a solo traveller could not justify paying wjat the Palmstar charged......This hotel was however perfect for me & my price range. The location on the beach is lovely, the room was basic, but suitable for my needs, and cleaned every day. Considering I was staying on my own, I felt very safe coming & going, especially in the earlier hours. Unfortunately I didn't spend enough time here to comment on the pool area and activities, however I did make breakfast twice and there was always plenty to choose from. The people I had travelled with were so impressed with my accommodation, especially how much value for money it was, the location & that breakfast was included etc, so much so, they want to stay here next year themselves. I am also considering returning to do a complete solo trip in October. Thank you for a lovely stay, and i look forward to staying again & getting the full experience of this hotel, hopefully in the near future.

Substandard

Substandard and Unsafe Conditions – Hotel Tagomago, Ibiza
I am writing to formally log a complaint regarding our recent holiday (June 2–13). This trip was a disaster from start to finish, characterized by gross negligence, health and safety hazards, and a total lack of basic hospitality standards.
1. Grossly Substandard Accommodation (Room 138) What TUI described as an "upgraded" room was, in reality, a health hazard.
• The Sewage Crisis: The room was filled with an unbearable stench of raw sewage. Reception staff admitted this was a "known issue" in Room 138, yet you moved us into it anyway.
• Incompetent Management: We were told no other rooms were available and instructed to sleep with the door open to "circulate the air"—an absurd and insulting suggestion that resulted in me being bitten by mosquitoes and suffering for the remainder of the trip.
• Failed Security: On June 10, the lock failed entirely. It took over two hours to resolve, during which we were locked out of our room. We received zero apologies for this significant inconvenience.
2. Hygiene and Safety Failures The cleanliness of this hotel was appalling and potentially dangerous:
• Sanitation: The ceiling was coated in dust, and when "cleaned," the debris was simply swept onto our bedding. The balcony, shutters, and shower were filthy and remained untouched for the duration of our stay.
• Chemical Exposure: We witnessed staff cleaning pool tiles with chemical agents while guests were still in the water—a blatant violation of safety protocols.
• Uncontrolled Animals: The pool area was overrun by staff-owned dogs that were anxious, barking at children, and jumping on guests’ loungers. This is not only unhygienic but a clear liability.
3. Inedible Food and Service The "dining" experience was a disgrace.
• Hot food was cold, bacon was inedible, and the fruit was sour.
• The machines produced hot drinks that tasted of scale, indicating a total lack of maintenance.
• The fact that a microwave is provided so guests can heat up "fresh" buffet food points to a systematic failure in food safety and quality control.

NO AIRCON FOR 4 DAYS! did not want to move our room

Overall, we understand it is a 3 star hotel however my friend and I did pay a lot of money still to stay for 1 week. Our room (235) air con was completely broken from when we got there (it sounded like it was going to explode) we told reception and they siad cannot do anything so slept without any aircon. We had to say something the next morning as way to hot! Eventually after 3 days of complaining they had an engineer look at it and he tried to fix it by putting wet toilet roll to make it quiet. That obviously did not help. We got to move rooms after 4 days but I would say that was too long to go without any air con. The lady at the reception was very rude about the whole situation and never apologised once, instead argued back as if it was our fault! Other than that the hotel is in a good location and what you would expect of this standard. Just wished they could of handled the situation better otherwise we would not of needed to complain!

HotelTagomago, Sant Antoni, Ibiza

I visited to watch tbe total eclipse in August 2027. I was delighted with the hotel, my room was clean with an ensuite bathroom and a balcony. I stayed on a B&B basis and there was a good variety of choice from the hot and cold buffet. The hotel itself sits right on a nice beach and has a large sun lounge area and a lovely pool. The hotel is slightly dated but it adds to the charm and ambience of the tranquil, peaceful location. The receptionists and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a bus stop right outside of the hoteI with buses running to the airport every half hour and a water taxi service across the bay to the main commecial centre of tbe resort. I would definitely stay here again on my travels.

Soothing oasis

We love this authentic cozy hotel. For some time we have been coming back every year and we are surprised by beautiful innovations in the rooms, around the pool, under the palms. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is delicious. The location is excellent: on the beaches and shops, bars, restaurants,...
The pleasant quiet atmosphere, with many salon spots is blissful.
