Albergue De Soba

ALBERGUE CON ENCANTO
Albergue con encanto, un albergue pequeño en un lugar ideal para desconectar, desayuno incluido, los dueños encantadores, hemos ido en noviembre y cuando llegabamos al albergue despues de pasar un dia duro por el monte nos esperaban con la estufa de leña prendida para estar calentitos, volveremos!!!

Lousy experience!
The hostel is located in an area surrounded by nature where you breathe peace and tranquility, inside it is bright and welcoming.
However when you get there you are not received by anyone (unless someone welcomes you and if you need something...) we only saw the hostess on the last day which she stopped by to collect.
The very lousy breakfast, with bread from previous days, two cans of two different flavors of jam and already....the colony of cats of the hostess of the hostel were in terrible condition of care, with an extreme thinness, with viral infections in eyes and respiratory system....you dropped your soul to see them and to see how when you fed them the mastiff also went running and passed over them crushing them.......we talked to her and she said that she fed them but the photos speak for themselves ...that unless if you are taking responsibility of a colony and running a hostel at least take care of the colony just to give a better image of your business....if you do not want to do it for the animals of course. It's supposed to be because they like animals in their rules!
Of course, I prefer to go next time to a shelter where customers and animals are taken care of much more without them.

Bitter weekend.
Pretty traumatic experience due to the poor condition of the animals, in this case the cats. Seeing them in those bad conditions, made us taste bad that weekend. The location is amazing and you breathe tranquility.

LOUSY EXPERIENCE
We decided to spend two days in the Soba Valley to visit the village of our maternal grandmother (Villaverde) and the area.
On August 6, we made the Reservation by phone of two berths in six-seater room for August 12 and 13 directly with Cristina, the owner. We arrived at the hostel on the 12th at about 14:30 and Dudu, the Owner, assigns us two bunk beds in a ten-seater room, with bunk beds that occupied the entire space, with barely any light, windows and no ventilation. As it did not correspond to the Reservation we made, we asked them to respect the agreement and to do what was necessary to comply with the agreement. They simply apologize and tell us that the six-seater room is not available because it is booked complete through Booking for more days, and insist that they can do nothing. They invite us to leave if we do not accept what they offer us, which is what we finally end up doing. In short, at 15:00 pm, after the trip there, we were without food and without accommodation in the middle of August.
We cannot value the stay because we do not get to enjoy it, but what we can say is the lack of professionalism and honesty of its owners. Let at least this review serve so that no one else goes through an experience as unpleasant and frustrating as we do.
Nor can we claim anything because we have no way to prove the Reservation we made by phone. Of course, in future occasions -of course, not in this hostel- we will ensure that the Reservation and Conditions are in writing. It is sad to acknowledge that in these times for some people the word is worthless.

Mala experiencia
Al llegar al albergue, uno de los huéspedes tenía su perro dentro de la habitación, al contrario de las condiciones marcadas en la reserva. Comunicamos a los dueños del albergue que no queríamos dormir con el perro dentro de la habitación. Esto llevó a una situación muy incómoda y tensa con el dueño del perro, que se sintió ofendido por ello, nos insultó y se puso agresivo con nosotras. Entendemos que fue una situación difícil pero tampoco hubo una respuesta clara y contundente por parte de los dueños del alojamiento, y más cuando se trataba de una condición clara en la reserva. Finalmente, no pasamos la noche allí y tuvimos que cancelar la reserva ante la poca seguridad que sentimos tras esta situación.
