Do not stay in this hotel!!!
Very disappointing experience at Ramada by Wyndham Bangkok Sukhumvit 87.
There were 3 major problems during our stay:
1. Severe hygiene issue:
We returned to the room around midnight and within less than 2 minutes we saw FOUR flying cockroaches inside the room. This was completely unacceptable from a hygiene perspective. We immediately packed our belongings and left the hotel during the night.
2. Refund issue:
Although we left because of the hotel’s hygiene problem, we were still told that the booking was “non-refundable.” This makes no sense. We did not leave because we changed our plans. We left because the room conditions were unacceptable and impossible to stay in.
3. Missing Prada shoes and misinformation:
The next morning I realized I had accidentally left my Prada shoes in the room. I tried contacting the hotel through Trip.com chat for around 2 hours with no response. I then called the hotel more than 30 times through Trip.com internet call with no answer.
I even asked the receptionist at my new hotel to call them for me, and Ramada staff told us that “nothing was found.”
Later, I personally returned to the hotel by taxi because I was 100% sure the shoes were left there. The receptionist told me:
“We already told you there is nothing here.”
I requested CCTV review, and the footage clearly showed a hotel staff member entering the room and later leaving while carrying my shoes.
Only after insisting on reviewing the CCTV footage were my shoes finally returned to me.
Without personally going back to the hotel and escalating the matter myself, I highly doubt I would have recovered my property.
Very disappointing experience overall and far below what should be expected from an international hotel brand.
