Best Thai food on the island.

The food was the most authentic Thai anywhere on the island and we came there just for the excellent Thai cooking. Other restaurants nearby were too westernised, basic western supermarket bought stir fries passing off as Thai. Yet this one was the real deal and great value.

A pearl

We had 3 nights on site, in one of their primitive/cheapest bungalows (there are finer alternatives) with an upgrade for our 12-year-old daughter.
The bungalow was thus, expected, “back to Nature” with all it entails of cracks and cracks - authentic. But clean and beautiful.
The family that has the place is 5. stars worth and their helpfulness and high level of service. They help with everything from transportation, excursions, etc. to reasonable prices.
The food is the same 5. stars worth. Nice, local and cheap. Many came from the surrounding and more expensive places to eat just here.
Ko Jum is a true gem that still seems relatively “untouched”.
Thus also an island where relaxation, bathing and excursions are the only activity - slow traveling.

Honest review 2024

Absolutely lovely family that run the resort so kind and helpful, very clean basic bungalows.
Food was amazing and not overly spicy which was great for me and the kids hubby not so much. Only downside was the tide goes out at around 12pm and dosent come back until about 7pm and leaves behind a very sharp rocky beach, again not great when you have kids that want a swim but obviously that is totally out of the owners control. We would come back again but only for a couple days rather than the 4 we have just done.
If you are looking for a very quiet peaceful holiday this is the place for you. Value for money is amazing here.

Wonderful stay on Koh Jum!

This place is absolutely spectacular! The bungalows are huge and very clean. The beach is very clean and quiet compared to the other islands. Great for swimming and relaxing in the sun. Very convenient to take the ferry as the longboat picks you up right from the property. Relax beach is further from the pier but I am sure you could rent a scooter to get around. The owners are so sweet and helpful. They arranged a tour for us to go out with Koh Jum Sea Hunters Tour to snorkel around Koh Rok and Koh Haa, this was the best tour, I highly recommend it. Since Relax Beach is far from the pier, the owners took us on their motorbikes and arranged for another taxi to take us from the main road. This was so very kind of them to take the time to do this.
The food here is really excellent as well. The owner plays guitar in the evening and it is lovely to listen to while watching the sunset.

Beautiful bungalows and super friendly and helpful owners!

Stranded on Koh Jum and looking for a place to sleep for 5 people, the owner of Kohjum Relax Beach Dinot and his wife were totally helpful! Both made nearly everything possible, so we could stay within one of their bungalows.
The bungalows are quite new, built by Dinot himself. But don't misunderstand me, the bungalows are also simple, showers have only cold water. But that's really refreshing after a long day with sun on the beach.
But the very best was the food! It was just amazing and definitely the best during our trip through Thailand. And it was really cheap, especially compared to the other restaurants in the neighborhood.
I hope, I'll can come back someday!
