Absolutely love this place ❤️

I had been wondering what all the hype was about—until we arrived.
We’ve stayed at many Ritz-Carlton properties, including Singapore and Koh Samui, but Phulay Bay is in a league of its own when it comes to service and the overall guest experience.
The architecture immediately reminded me of The Barai in Hua Hin. Later, our butler, Khun Sun, explained that both properties were designed by the same architect, which made perfect sense.
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Khun Tanya, Khun Bon, Khun Sunny, and our butler, Khun Sun. Their genuine hospitality set the tone for the rest of our stay.
The grounds are simply stunning, with a small creek, waterfalls, lush gardens, mature trees, abundant birdlife, and a beautiful beachfront. Many reviews mention that the sea isn’t suitable for swimming, but I have to disagree. As long as you wear a pair of beach shoes, it’s absolutely enjoyable.
We visited Koh Hong twice during our stay. Although it can get quite crowded during peak hours, we still spotted schools of squid, a sea snake, a tiny red sea fan, sea anemone, and plenty of giant clams—an unforgettable experience.
One highlight was being invited to the management cocktail party. I truly appreciated the opportunity, as it showed that guest feedback is genuinely valued. It was a pleasure meeting Khun Ian and many other members of the team.
We already miss Phulay Bay and can’t wait to return.

Over the Top Incredible Experience

Our recent stay at Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve was truly one of the finest luxury hotel experiences our family has ever had.
Having stayed at five-star hotels around the world (Peninsula, Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons, etc), our expectations are high—but Phulay Bay exceeded them in every way. The property is stunning, but what truly sets it apart is its people. The level of genuine hospitality, warmth, and attention to detail was unlike anything we've experienced.
From the moment we arrived, the team took the time to get to know us—not just our names, but our interests, preferences, and what would make our stay special. Every interaction felt personal and authentic. Rather than simply providing exceptional service, they anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, making us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay.
A special thank you to Maya who first hand ensured we had an absolutely wonderful stay. She was beyond helpful and one of the kindest, nicest people we met in Thailand. Eak, Nat and Jeff -- and all of the staff -- played an important role in making our visit so memorable at meals and at the spa. The staff's kindness, professionalism, and sincere desire to create an unforgettable experience were evident every day. They treated us like honored guests rather than customers, and their thoughtfulness left a lasting impression on our entire family. The entire concierge team ensured we had wonderful excursions planned before we arrived --- their communication and execution were top notch!
This was our first trip to Thailand, and the team at Phulay Bay made it one of the best family vacations we have ever taken. Their warmth and hospitality gave us a genuine appreciation for the renowned kindness of the Thai people and created memories we will cherish for years to come.
If you're considering a stay at Phulay Bay, expect more than a beautiful resort—you can expect world-class hospitality delivered by a team of extraordinary people. We cannot wait to return.

Best family trip to date!

Probably our favorite family trip to date! Our villa was beautiful with daily personal touches left in the evenings. The breakfast options were wide and onsite Thai restaurant was fabulous! Cocktails at the Sunset Bar watching the sun disappear on the horizon was a treat. Our assigned butler, Na, was incredibly helpful and readily available. She seamlessly coordinated all of our excursions with options, clear instructions and matched us with professional drivers and guides. If not for the fact that it takes over 24 hrs. to travel back to Thailand - we would go back next year!

Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve is, without question, one of the most extraordinary luxury resorts we have ever experienced. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully designed to create an atmosphere of complete serenity and understated elegance.
The setting is breathtaking—towering limestone cliffs, lush tropical gardens, and sweeping views of the Andaman Sea create a backdrop that feels almost surreal. Every corner of the resort is impeccably maintained, and the architecture blends beautifully with the natural surroundings.
Our villa was nothing short of spectacular. Spacious, impeccably appointed, and incredibly private, it felt more like a luxurious sanctuary than a hotel room. The attention to detail, from the oversized bathroom to the outdoor living spaces, made every moment feel special.
What truly sets Phulay Bay apart, however, is the staff. The service is among the finest I've ever encountered. Every team member was warm, genuine, and attentive without ever feeling intrusive. Our personal butler habib anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, making the entire stay effortless and deeply personalized.
The dining was exceptional throughout our stay. Every meal showcased fresh, beautifully prepared ingredients, paired with impeccable presentation and stunning ocean views. Breakfast was a daily highlight, offering an impressive selection with flawless service.
More than anything, Phulay Bay offers something increasingly rare: a genuine sense of peace. Whether relaxing by the pool, enjoying the spa, or simply watching the sunset over the Andaman Sea, every experience encouraged us to slow down and appreciate the beauty around us.

Outstanding

This was, without a doubt, the best family hotel experience we have ever had. Our villa was absolutely breathtaking, and the entire property was stunning and impeccably maintained.
What truly made our stay exceptional, however, was the incredible staff. They exceeded every expectation we had. Our butler, Habib, was outstanding and made us feel like royalty from the moment we arrived. He anticipated our needs, paid incredible attention to every detail, and ensured that every aspect of our stay was seamless. From arranging our reservations and excursions to adding thoughtful personal touches throughout our vacation, his level of care and professionalism did not go unnoticed. Thanks to Habib and the rest of the staff, our family had an unforgettable experience. We cannot wait to return.
