My favourite Thailand find

Not only is Koh Phayam a real slice of magic but The Shadow was the best discovery we made! Por who runs it is so lovely! In fact Por made our whole experience amazing. He has created a lovely bar and well maintained rooms. It's close to my favourite beach there and I immediately understood why people stay so many extra nights here. I didn't want to leave. Thank you Por xx

The coolest place to hang out on Ko Phayam

Owner Por has created (and built with his own hands) possibly the coolest places to hang out on Ko Phayam. We didn’t stay there - just went for drinks. We had driven past a few days earlier and noted that the accommodation was beautifully designed. With a nod to the traditional Thai bungalow style, but most definitely very modern. Clad in timber and up on stilts - Por clearly has a creative eye. The bar looks like a minimalist timber rectangle! With one of the long sides flipping up to create a roof. You sit outside on a raised timber platform. Por also has a small artists studio where he paints. He overheard us saying how interesting it looked from the outside, and he invited us to go in for a proper look. He’s a really friendly guy with an interesting story if you get talking to him. Thanks for the drinks and the chat Por!

Best Place to stay

You have the feeling like you in the Family. The man who works there makes the world to a better place, you feel the humanity and he makes you smile. A good Place to stay and with a really good bar with nice cocktails and a wonderful atmosphere. If its day time you have the best shadow so you can good relax all the time there. Thank you for the unforgettable stay!

Absolutely loved that little place serrounded by nature and less then 10 minutes away from the beach what not to love?! Bicycles and motorcycles on site for you to wonder around. And let’s not forget about the delicious cocktails that the owner make behind is bar witch you can enjoy while listening to cool tunes.
One of my best stayed in Thailand.

The place to go!

I went to Koh Phayam in a strang way, with no decisions and expectations. And so I found The Shadow. I didn't have a reservation but in the moment I was there everything was set in a right way. So, we agreed for 3 nights which finished that I stayed at The Shadow for 12 nights. I felt like at home in a moment because of the owner Por energy and relaxed feeling. The place is designed and made by him. You can feel the spirit, energy and love he put in it. He has four rooms with a shower. Basic but with all you need. I stayed in two of them and both were ok. The Shadow is located in the centre of the Island in the jungle. Perfect to explore the island, Buffalo bay is five minutes walk away. The best beach in Phayam. Overall was a great experience. I met very nice people there, also guest of the bar. The atmosphere is great! We had dinners together and many fun. Por is a very openminded person and knows a lot of things. I had some nice conversations with him. And coctails at the bar prepaired by hit are great! Thank you brother again!
