Not worth the amount they charged, however friendly staff
Garden area was very junglely. Good location. Certainly lived up to its name. Room's were quite basic, old and a musty smell. It looked like there had been black mould at some point and they had painted over it. stayed there for 4 nights in a private room and not once did the staff come to make up the room etc. Staff were friendly, food is nice and they have cheap fresh coconuts! Not really worth what they were charging.

No night sleep - can really not be recommended
The place is filled with IDFs on departure. They are arrogant and totally indifferent to other people.
They state that they own the place and refer to some 2500 year old book, where it says that God gave them the land.
They typically occupy several houses in a row, where they stay loudly in large groups and parties with heavy sound system, day and night.
They steal furniture from other people’s bungalows and when you complain about this and their eternal noise, they laugh and mock one and turn their backs on and then they start throwing cigarette cans and empty cans on one’s terrace.
They state that they own the place and refer to some 2500 year old book, where it says that God gave them the land.
They typically occupy several houses in a row, where they stay loudly in large groups and parties with heavy sound system, day and night.
They steal furniture from other people’s bungalows and when you complain about this and their eternal noise, they laugh and mock one and turn their backs on and then they start throwing cigarette cans and empty cans on one’s terrace.

I was ATTACKED and BEATEN at the Property by it's owners!
Dear travelers,
strongly advise you to keep away from the property JUNGLE HUT BUNGALOWS & HOTEL in KOH PANGAN, THAILAND (Haad Chao Phao, Surat Thani Province).
I WAS RECENTLY ATTACKED and BEATEN at THE PROPERTY by it's OWNERS.
The aggression, disrespect and hostility of the owners caused a lot of problems for me and my friends.
My name is Anton, I'm from Ukraine.
Me, my brother and his Thai girlfriend decided to be quarantined on Koh Pangan in Thailand.
We booked 2 bungalows at the hotel Jungle Hut Bungalows & Hotel, were we have been staying 10 nights, since 6 to 16 of April, 2020.
It's important to mention, that we were nice guests: didn't make noise, drink alcohol, litter and always were polite.
The Hotel's owner is a mature lady. Her family members also work there: daughter as the receptionist, husband as a fisherman, who also supposed to look after the tidiness of the Hotel and it's territory and a chubby son, who looks after the motorbikes.
These people showed themselves as arrogant, rude and appeared to be dangerous for my health!
Upon our arrival on April, 6 the Hotel was almost empty, only few bungalows were occupied for a long term.
We were also going to hire a
motorbike there, but a rent price appeared to be higher than at the places nearby. That was really weird, because normally hotels give a discount for bikes to their guests.
The bungalows itself were not properly maintained, with dozens of ants inside but we could put up with that.
During our stay no one cleaned the bungalows even once and didn't pay any attention to us.
Meanwhile, the family had a lot of free time and that was really obvious.
They were just chilling in the kitchen, eating and enjoying forced break in business because of quarantine.
To our request for taking out the garbage they gave us a plastic bags and offered to do that by ourselves.
The same happened after we asked to change the towels and the bed sheets at least once. Fresh towels and linens were handed to us with pointing to the place where we had to put the used ones.
The family also rules the restaurant there, so we tried to ask them to warm our food. But the answer was very expected: they don't have a microwave and we should warm it up at 7/11.
The most important and terrible happened later, on April, 15.
I invited my friend to get my hair cut. I put a chair on the sand 2 meters away from my bungalow.
In 5 minutes the son of the owners came up to us, roughly threw a broom and commanded to clean everything after we are done. It was ridiculous to hear about sweeping out the sand (!) because they didn't care about cleanliness at all, never even cleaned the dry leaves on the paths.
I replied to the guy that they'd better take out the garbage from my room.
After that he became incredibly insane: he showed me "f##k you", thrеw a flip-flop at me, then rushed to me and attacked immediately, starting to beat me on the shoulder really tough and pushed me several times. I hardly kept myself of defending because I knew he was expecting me to fight him back and then he would obviously call the police.
My friend was very scared and started to scream for a help.
That moment his father ran up to us with extremely horrendous view and wildly bloodshot eyes shouting: do a cleaning everywhere!
My friend and I were shocked and terrified, my arm and shoulder were hurt. I rushed to the reception to avoid further beating and said to the lady-owner that I have just been attacked.
I guess, she was just observing what was happening with an admire and feeling of deep satisfaction that "farang" was being beated by her sun.
Then I said we are checking out and I am calling police.
After that, she just said it was my fault that I invited a guest to the hotel and she wouldn't mind us to check-out.
Despite the feeling of deep humiliation and offence we had to spend one more night there because we had no place to go. Almost all the hotels are not accepting new guests now because of quarantine.
Next morning we moved out, a daughter-receptionist gave us a deposit and unused payment for next 3 nights back.
During check-out the lady-owner was sitting 5 meters away, facing her back to us, without even saying sorry for the nightmare that happened and even not asking about my shoulder.
Even Thai girlfriend of my brother was also experiencing bad attitude and hostile sights from the fisherman.
Summing up, the owners are rude and non-professional.
A person who hates other people CAN'T PROVIDE HOSPITALITY SERVICES!
I really believe, that even during these hard times we all have TO REMAIN HUMANS and not to loose our faces and honesty.

Dirty and disgusting place with rude and agressive staff members
Avoid this place all you can! The rooms are badly maintained, the floors are filthy, there was a cigarette end on the side of my bed and I woke with bites all over my thighs after one night there. The staff were SO unbelievably rude when I asked to change rooms, with one of the men even shouting in my face while holding a beer and smoking a cigarette. Really not what you expect from your accommodation, or even a random person on the street.

Cheap hotel
Bungalows at low rate, but very cheap owners. Breakfast included but only two eggs and two toast and a cup of coffee or tea and nothing more. No beach towels to lend, no cleaning of the room. Upside, it’s close to the beach.
