Right on Haad Yao Beach, with an outstanding lap pool, and good rooms.

Nice rooms, excellent temperature control, fantastic 30 m pool, right on the beach, excellent staff, good prices. Great beach views and ambiance from the restaurant. The food was fine, but not exceptional.
The rooms are made from concrete, which probably helps with the temperature regulation. But lots of windows, with great view of the pool

THE MOST HORRIBLE HOTEL IN THE AREA............ TO ESCAPE!!!!!!!

-Date of stay from 25 February to 05 March 2025.
-Room number 201
We arrive at this beautiful island of Koh Phangan in an enchanting setting and it was not our surprise when the taxi stopped in front of a construction that looked more like an abandoned factory building than a hotel worthy of the name, in a place where hotels are more beautiful than each other.
Seeing the faces of tourists as they get out of the taxi we all share this first bad impression.
In fact it is the most aesthetically horrific hotel on the coast, next to High Life , Amara , or Coco Locco whose attractiveness is not to be demonstrated.
We arrive in this large reception hall made of raw concrete , without any soul and without character , completely fresh and full of rust stains or other... unless it is to give a style
Our room is on the first floor where we arrive by a raw cement staircase without any sign or direction.
At the room level, the cleaning staff does an outstanding job. Everything is clean.
On the other hand the improvement points of this hotel do not come in any way from the staff but from its owner only that we wanted to contact by the receptionist but who did not deign to answer us.
State of the room:
• you enter a space with bare white walls
• The ground was patched up following several cracks on the ground and brushed quickly with an ochre yellow without hiding the cracks that remain visible
• Many blackheads integrated into cements cannot be removed by the household
• IN THE ROOM:
• a single bedside table
• The bed near the window is embedded in the wall and does not allow it to move and therefore impossible to put a nightstand. In the driveway between the bed and the window impossible to put 2 feet side by side. To go to bed you have to climb on the bed.!!!
• The sockets are in the middle of the 2 beds that we can not move and forces us to have all our extensions and sockets in the bed. What is amazing at a hotel level.
• No safe deposit box,
• no TV (just the power outlet and antenna outlet that decorate this wall )
-by clothes rack to dry the laundry on the return from the beach , forcing us to put it on the concrete terrace at the risk of it falling on the terrace below , which happened!!!!
On the terrace:
-a sliding door that has great difficulty closing
-a table and two chairs that face a horrible cement wall with rust stains or other. (see attached photos )
IN THE BATHROOM:
• Mirror all staked that can not be cleaned
• Low light to illuminate the bathroom
• No power outlets.
• Uncapped peg holes.
• Shower-side skirting boards that are rotten and that deserve to be replaced and give the impression of filth and dilapidation.

• WIFI
• after several contacts with the reception manager who was always very friendly and very professional and who contacted the manager twice to tell him that the wifi did not work at all in the room and after passing us 2 times equipment and extenders nothing could be settled. The manager did not again deign to respond to our request. And did not agree to give us a discount on the room rate we had asked her by the lady at the reception.
• The 3 very positive points about this hotel are:
• The kindness and professionalism of the receptionist who did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We can thank her.
• the maintenance staff of the premises, rooms and beaches who ensure with satisfaction the cleanliness and maintenance of all these spaces despite the age of the building.
• The Vagga bar beach restaurant raises the standard of the establishment and is a very nice place with friendly staff.
What needs to be reviewed:
• This hotel is horrible in a place that could be great with a great central location on this very beautiful Haad yao beach.
• The renovation of the establishment and its horrible reinforced concrete all stained that does not make you want to stay at all.
• The photos presented in Booking and on the websites do not reveal the reality of the situation at all (see my photos sent)
• Our assessment of Booking’s ratings would be as follows:
• Comfort: note 4
• WiFi connection Note 2
• (you had to get out of your room and reach room 207 to start having a connection start to be able to send messages when we got home!!!!!!
• STAFF: 8,5
• Excellent services from the receptionist who did everything to be pleasant to us. Cleaning staff who provide very good service. Staff Vagga beach restaurant that perfectly maintain the beach and spot VAGGA.

GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION:= 9
• ideally placed in a central sector at the level of activities. But the See Through disfigures by its horrible aesthetic this sector made up of beautiful establishments.

CLEANLINESS:
• maintenance of the premises is ok by its conscientious staff = note 8.5
• On the other hand, the premises themselves are again extremely dirty and are the responsibility of the owner = note 2
VALUE FOR MONEY
• Due to equipment that does not work satisfactorily or at all = wifi, lack of TV , safe , clothes racks , lack of a bedside table and a bed that cannot be moved with the obligation to use power outlets while climbing on the bed, the value for money is not good , considering the properties on either side of this hotel rating = 2

In summary:
-if you do not want to be disappointed upon arrival, you must FLEE this establishment , until a complete renovation has been done to be in line with the quality and aesthetics of the establishments in the area.
• under no circumstances will we return to this establishment where we recommend it as long as it remains in this state.
• Too bad because it has very strong assets in this area with in addition a beautiful beach
• For the websites that offer this establishment it would be objective to bring the photos up to date , because those offered no longer reflect the reality of today change the photos of the hotel as it is today . For this purpose I attach the photos I took in early March to certify my comments without any exaggeration.
• Hopefully, these reviews can be useful to other travellers and the owner deigns to take into account the problems his guests wish to report to him , or take a model on resorts on either side such as High Life- the amara or the coco locco

3 nights with family

Aging room, no clothes rack essential for swimwear / towel. Staff unhelpful and unpleasant. The impression that the host stops understanding English when it suits him...
We were 2 families with 2 rooms booked for 4 each (2 adults and 2 children) with breakfast included. Bizarrely no breakfast for children.... Charged more than 250thb per day per child... Problem solved by Agoda who committed to partially refund them to us.
A deposit of 1000thb taken on arrival (never seen this in other hotels). Weirdly on our 2 bookings the hotel withheld the deposit. On one room, 1 towel stained with vomit charged 200thb (maybe we should have left a child's vomit until morning for them to clean). On the other room a drink was dropped at the bar and so charged because more in the room. Surprising because no state of play on arrival...
Laundry given to the reception with a posted price, no particular detail of the person at the reception and bizarrely the price charged 48h later is higher because "express" (less than 3 days).
Anyway, they have bail, so they're stuck...
In short it is more a lack of communication that would have made us more vigilant so be careful...
Otherwise the beach is fine.

Noisy room

Very poor mattress quality I could feel the springs even through the foam mattress cover.
Hardest pillow ever!
My neck and shoulders are killing me,ever since.
No safe
No TV
No beach at high tide.
And finally far from everything.Need to take taxi or take a chance and rent a scooter to visit the island.

Don't go there

it is 11 p.m. our room has not been cleaned, the towels have not been changed. no bottled water and no coffee. We went to reception and were told: tomorrow. And all this with a disconcerting I don't care and telling us that we were bad people (receptionist in a bad mood)
