Paradise within paradise
Amazing Stay!
Our stay at Somewhere Only We Know Resort on Koh Phangan was truly unforgettable. The setting is absolutely breathtaking — secluded, private, and beautifully designed — with a sense of tranquillity that made every moment feel special. The staff were incredibly attentive and genuinely warm, taking care of us with thoughtful service from start to finish. Every meal was a delight — delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented, making dining one of the highlights of our stay. There was honestly nothing we didn’t love; if I had to be picky, a couple of chairs on the balcony would have been a nice touch! Highly recommend this slice of paradise for anyone seeking peace, beauty, and exceptional hospitality.
The beachfront villa is quite simply the best place I have ever stayed. Beautifully contemporary in design, it blends effortlessly into the surroundings, with stunning seascape views that feel almost unreal. Waking up to the sound of the sea and that endless horizon was like living in a dream — peaceful, picturesque, and completely unforgettable.
The food was exceptional — deeply Thai-inspired with a subtle Bernese influence, creating a unique and memorable fusion that felt both authentic and refined.
Even the local coffee was high-end — rich, smooth, and beautifully prepared, easily on par with top specialty cafés.
Can’t wait to go back!

A taste of heaven!
Whatever the duration of the flight, the number of stops, the jet lag and the small walk to be made in a lush and wild environment, the SOWK is one of those places that remains forever etched in your memories. The breathtaking views, granite deposits, small pristine beaches, staff who prepare breakfasts and meals made this stay unforgettable. This luxury comes at a price, but you're well worth it. Allow yourself this indelible experience, you will not regret it!
Finally, if this enchanted break was so incredible, it is also thanks to Rosa who did everything to facilitate us the discovery of Koh Phangan and to make this stay even more fabulous!
Finally, my wife would like to highlight the quality of the two massages she enjoyed during our stay at Villa Plage.

Unique Experience
This place is special. The staff don’t just treat you like a guest — they treat you like someone they genuinely want to know. Before I arrived, I had a video call where we talked about my interests, and during my stay, they surprised me with a private Muay Thai training session, an ice bath, and a visit to a local temple. The food was great, the villa was stunning, and the attention to detail was on another level. Can’t recommend SOWK enough if you’re looking for something real and different.

Not my favorite
The place sounds special and yet it is, because like its been mentioned it has only three designer villas, that are spacious and unique.
But we would not come back for a few reasons. The sea is absolutely not suitable for bathing or swimming. You can barely make couple of steps into the water, the stones and corals wont let you go any further and as the waters are shallow, you cannot swim. For that reason, the place could have a swimming pool.... but it doesnt. No swimming pool, no private in room pools. We stayed at the beach villa, the jacuzzi that it has is more like a hot tub, not a plunge pool.
The local staff is nice, but the host Rosa did not even dare to say hello to us. This really spoiled the overall experience.
If you want a very quite getaway and you really dont care about the beach and the sea, you can give it a try, otherwise there are better places on the isalnd for that.

We are sorry to hear that the tide was too low when you went to our beach. It happens one time per day for a few hours and the water can be just a bit lower but we would have been happy to indicate to you the many part of our three private beaches were you could find perfectly sandy floor and more water to swim. Our lagoon is so nice, clear and normally ideal for bathing and swimming.
We do have a private pool in our Sanghamitra Private Pool villa it is actually the only natural pool in a tropical country in the world, it is an eco-technology which was invented by our owner a french designer. Sadly when you came it was booked we tried to ask the other guests to change when you asked us but they wanted to keep their villa. Your villa only had a jacuzzi as described on our site. It is indeed a jacuzzi like you stated, it is pretty big and custom made but it is not a plunge pool it is true.
We have two general managers at our resort and you were assisted during your stay by our Burmese general manager which is our oldest and most experienced manager at our resort. He personally welcomed you and assisted you all your stay until your departure. Rosa our British manager was off at this time.
We truly think our beaches are worth it, usually they are world appraised, we have access in total to 9 secluded paradisiac beaches with coconut trees and surrounded by many trees and clear water, one more beautiful than an other and are sorry that you did not like them.
Our team is truly dedicated to providing the most human and tailor made service there is we hope the rest of your stay in Thailand was more delightful.
