Complete reboot, absolute oceanfront vacation in a tropical garden
We've been to Thailand many times before: Phuket, Krabi, Reilly, Lanta, Ko Ngai, Samui , Ko Tao... And now they finally got to Pangan (Koh Phangan).
The road from Moscow is certainly not easy: three planes and a ferry. But it needed a complete reset, an absolute oceanfront vacation in a tropical garden. Everyone got it in full in The Great Escape Chalets.
The Great Escape Chalets is a wonderful complex of 11 cozy houses. Each chalet has a terrace with a small swimming pool. The cabins are surrounded by a tropical garden, providing complete privacy. It was the first time in Thailand that we didn't want to go anywhere. We enjoyed the surrounding beauty, tranquillity, privacy and complete no problems. Everything was instantly resolved, for which I thank May and Tom, the masters of this fairytale world, so much.
Near the hotel is Thong Nai Pan Yai Beach – it is about 100 meters away, 3–5 minutes on foot. The beach is ideal for swimming: sparsely populated, the bottom is bare and sandy, you can swim at both tide and tide. The beach is in the bay, so it is fenced from the waves of the open ocean. But there are drawbacks. During a storm, currents wash plastic debris from the ocean onto the beach. Sure, the Thais are picking it up fast, but it was still a surprise to us. There's a small coral reef across from the beach, but it's very, very small, for full-fledged snorkelling, of course, not suitable.
Another advantage of relaxing at The Great Escape Chalets is the complete absence of domestic problems. We had everything in the chalet: air conditioning, safe, refrigerator, kettle, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, juicer, dishes, TV, toiletries, hairdryer... Within walking distance are restaurants. It's a couple of minutes to 7:00 in the village. The village is small, of course. But it has everything: fruit, bike rental (you can also rent them at The Great Escape Chalets), gas station, fast food and various tourist trivia.
A warning. Alcohol is sold until 11 p.m. And yes, on New Year's Day too! Who would have thought we wouldn't be able to buy a cocktail on New Year's Day!
All in all, it was beautiful! I recommend the hotel 100%.

Relax Recreation
The hotel liked it, everything is there: towels, bag with litter to the beach, games, swimming pool each cabin has its own behind a hedge. True, the water in it is cold, but after the beach does not strain. The beach is gorgeous, clean, the sand is white, smooth setting without pronounced tide.
Nearby everything has a Seven, cafe, laundry, top, food.
Every cabin has a fumigator and mosquito spirals.
Calm quality rest, two minutes to the beach.
They ordered a room massage, great. Breakfast can also be ordered directly to your room. Minibar on arrival free Coke, Fanta, beer.
We were taken to the pier by the hotel owner for 800 baht, there came from the other side of the island for 1 thousand baht. There's a bike rental.
I recommend the hotel.

5* in every way!
We are still blown away now by how wonderful this hotel is. In fact we’d go so far to say as the best hotel experience we’ve ever had. We stayed here 5 nights and like most - immediately wished we’d booked for longer! This hotel is by far the best value for money for accommodation and service we’ve ever experienced. Tom greeted us and checked us in and immediately made us feel so relaxed. He booked our return taxi and speedboat back to Samui airport there and then which was a thing playing in my mind which he immediately sorted. Nothing was too much for him.
The villa was just wow. The photos don’t do it justice. We were given the least desirable room being opposite the car park but even then it was all very private and peaceful. The villa is huge, a shower and a bath which is a rarity in Thailand, a veranda with outside seating area and jacuzzi also. Unusually but also very handy there is a toaster in the room along with freshly ground coffee and a cafetière. Nice touch! The fridge was filled with complimentary beer and soft drinks which was a surprise and also a rarity in hotels. The AC was powerful as was the shower water pressure.
The beach is 5 mins walk away and beautiful and there’s plenty of local restaurants to eat at during the day and night both along the beach and on the street which is also only a few minutes walk away. It really was such an amazing stay. We didn’t want to leave.
I’m so happy to have found this hotel as will return in the future. It’s amazing in every way. Thank you Tom for everything you did during our stay and also for enabling us to have such a wonderful stay. Candy and Charlie

Private pool!
Beautiful hotel with chalets immersed in a tropical garden with each its own private swimming pool. Very spacious rooms and bathrooms, with both a bathtub and a shower. It does not have breakfast included but it is a stone's throw from the main street with several bars and restaurants and mini markets. It is not on the sea but the beach can be reached in two minutes on foot via a pedestrian street. I think it's the best hotel in all of Thong Nai Pan Yai. Excellent experience.

Perfect
Just had a really lovely week here, great sized room, excellent shower, loved the beers & soft drinks that were refreshed as often as you waned & the 2 bottles of water delivered every morning, kettle, toaster, microwave& plenty of kitchen bits if you wanted to prepare something easy, loved the little refreshing plunge pool, couple of bean bags & outdoor table & chairs
May & Thong were excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble & May does an excellent laundry service, we hired a scooter from them
A quick 2 minute walk & you are on a beautiful beach with plenty beach bars/ restaurants
Thong organised our transfer back to Koh Samui Airport & all went if we are ever in that part of the world again we would absolutely stay at Great Escape
May & Thong were excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble & May does an excellent laundry service, we hired a scooter from them
