Great Stay!!

Had a lovely stay here. Very nice and helpful staff. Clean rooms and bathrooms as well. Loved the atmosphere. A simple breakfast is included, which is nice. The location is great as well. I 100% recommend! A night food market with great food is also close by

I was stuck waiting at the door for a long time. The host was nice but commented on multiple occasions that she forgot I was staying there. Great location and a weak shower.

I love this hostel!

I come to 168 Chiang Mai guesthouse every time I stay in the old city. Everyone is super friendly, the accommodation is clean, surveillance cameras keep it safe, you get a locker, location is great, and I especially love hanging out on the roof top patio at all times of the day. A couple more things I can say... Wi Fi is strong, the price is very affordable, the cats and bunny are fun to play with, the coffee is good, you can make a lot of friends... I could go on and on. I recommend this hostel to anyone and give this review 5 stars!

Tour package, Cleanest Hostel, Amazing Staff, REASONABLE PRICES!!

A friend recommended this hostel to me and stayed there for 2 nights and 3 days. Proly, the most comfy (big bed,clean sheets/blankets/towels), clean (bathrooms/toilets) and felt really secured !!! Really one of the best accommodations I've ever stayed in... Staffs were great, very polite, friendly, speak really good English and very helpful with directions and how to's around town. Also availed one of their group tour packages which was a day trip to San patong. went to a hill tribe, elephant jungle, waterfall and amazing water raft for 900baht, t'was a good deal!!!
They've got lots to offer/ other tour packages and the prices are REASONABLE! If only I had more time... Overall, T'was SUPERB!!!
ps: they serve really good coffee, too!! :D

Came to wait for visum but stayed like I was at home

This hostel is one of the nicest hostels I have been during my 3 months travel. I always want hostels with a pooltable and, if possible, a pool, but this time that is not needed. The rooftop is a very good view for sunset. Just turn your head and you see the amazing mountains with the beautiful sun. The beds are good and big, with curtains on every bed which keep the light out if you want to, the hostel is cleaned every(!!!) day, with windows open, so always fresh air. No bad smells. There is good working aircon so there is always a cool spot to find, although I prefer the nice and cosy (and big) rooftop with couches and table and everything. Clean showers, clean toilets, good water pressure with fresh water, a big refill tank for your bottle, a fridge you can use, tea, a toaster for your bread, big beers for 60 Baht, etcetc. It is SO welcoming. The couple who are running it, seems to enjoy running it and I enjoy enjoying it. Next to this hostel there is a lady with three different meals of streetfood around lunchtime, so good!! We got thai herb drinks with our bamboo curry and a banana and a baked egg, and you always pay 30 Baht only. Its delicious. Also: Every day there is a guy with selfmade coconut ice driving through the street. This street is nice (and 10/15min walk from the night market). Also, nice people stay in this hostel. It seems quiet here, but there are a lot of people staying. I met a very nice friend here who I went out with. Too drunk, too late and too much different clubs, because we actually had to work here (the hostel has got strong Wi-Fi!!) during day time but its just because you meet people easy here and its easy to chill on the rooftop. But. Also easy to work on the rooftop, as we did the other days on our computers. Just go here. It is awesome. And the price: I cannot believe it. A lot hostels I got half of the luxury with double of the price. At first glance, all of it seemed not that nice to me, but that was for a big part my mood because I just came back from the airport where I couldnt take my flight to Vietnam because of my wrong pocessed visum. But by then I didnt know anything except the price about this awesome hostel in this (turned out) awesome street.
