Great place to stay

We had a really nice stay! The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!

Hotel: fine, SPA - terrible

The hotel’s location is convenient, easily reachable from the city center and well connected by public transport. The surrounding area also offers plenty of services, such as laundries and hairdressers, as well as restaurants. The rooms are standard but cozy and functional. The air conditioning works well, and the beds are comfortable. However, I have one very serious complaint regarding the SPA service. I booked a massage (not included in the hotel price) and clearly expressed that, as a woman, I was uncomfortable being treated by a male masseur. Despite this, I was assigned a male masseur. Unfortunately, his behavior during the massage was highly unprofessional, both in the way he touched me and in the way he spoke to me, which I found disrespectful and deeply uncomfortable. Although my overall experience at the hotel was fine, this SPA experience was extremely disappointing. I would strongly recommend reconsidering the SPA service and would not recommend it based on my experience.

Inappropriate attitude

Absolutely terrible experience — avoid this hotel.
My stay at Golden Age Hotel was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. The reception staff were extremely rude, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. At one point, I was even called a liar by the reception staff simply because I complained about the problems we were facing.
Our shower was not working properly for four consecutive days, and despite repeatedly informing the hotel, they failed to fix it. What made the situation even worse was that they refused to change our room, even though I was willing to pay for an upgrade to get a better room and simply have a normal, comfortable stay.
Instead of taking responsibility and helping their guests, the reception staff treated us with disrespect and made the whole situation even more frustrating. In the end, we had no choice but to leave the hotel and move to another one, losing our money because they refused to provide any refund.
A hotel can have an old room or a technical problem — these things can happen. But disrespecting guests, calling them liars, refusing to solve a basic problem for four days, and refusing even a room change or upgrade is completely unacceptable.
I strongly do NOT recommend Golden Age Hotel. The attitude of the reception staff alone was enough to ruin the entire experience. If you value basic respect, proper customer service, and having your problems actually addressed, *stay somewhere else.

Unfortunately, there was no suitable room available at the time of your request. Regarding the shower issue, our Technical Team was notified promptly after you brought the matter to our attention. The necessary checks were carried out shortly afterwards, and no technical fault was identified at the time of inspection. We understand, however, that you experienced fluctuations in the water temperature and regret the inconvenience this caused.
We also take your comments regarding the attitude of our Reception Team seriously. Our intention is always to assist our guests respectfully and professionally, and we are sorry if our communication during your stay made you feel otherwise.

Great hotel for your money.

Nice hotel,quality price,comfortable location,delicious variety of breakfast,there is a swimming pool,you can ask for a room on a quiet street,we have changed without problems,everything needed nearby,Taxim Square is close.And most importantly it is the receptionists,helped solve the problem with the forgotten bag in the taxi,for this they a million thanks,especially Fatih and everyone who helpedthe receptionists are the face of the hotel,and they are really professionals
