It was enjoyable.

We enjoyed our stay as a family. It was a quiet, peaceful hotel, the food was delicious, and our rooms were clean. My nieces and nephews had a lot of fun in the pool. The staff are friendly and try to help with everything.

Shabby, not chic

The Polat Termal hotel is conveniently located close to Pamukkale and the Necropolis of Hierapolis (well worth a visit). Set in a pine forest it is mostly decorated in dark tones which makes it look quite gloomy. The restaurant is like a canteen, often filled with coachloads and everyone is fending for themselves. The food is mediocre and mostly lukewarm at best. There is a pool, Spa and Thermal pool in the hotel, fed by the natural springs which occur in Pamukkale. Our room was quite dark, desperately in need of refurbishing (see pics). Lights were gloomy and centre ceiling light was missing (just cut off by the wires) TV only had local channels and produced a grainy picture

Attention those staying at Polat Thermal

I would have given it a zero rating if it were that bad. The reception was awful, there were spiders in the bed, and they charged for children over 6 years old, which is the first time we've encountered such a thing. Normally, they don't charge for children up to 11, but this hotel is different.

Worth it for the thermal baths

We only stayed one night on a tour. The main attraction is the hot thermal pools. They were fabulous. A couple of small hot pools and some large swimming pools. The outdoor hot pool was perfect.
The room was large but badly maintained. It was doable for one night.
The restaurant had a lot of choices but was very busy. Interesting food because they had a lot on visitors from further east, the ‘stans. Breakfast was weird. Service very haphazard.

Overall satisfactory

Do not miss the wonderful terminal pools it feels crazy. Overall satisfied with this hotel. Note no elevator to access our room and some steps to climb with the suitcases. Nice room. Medium catering
