Family friendly

Cozy and quiet. Nice sandy beach with shallow sandy bottom.
Nice pool area that is discounted for camping guests. The kids loved playing in the playgrounds and bouncy castle. Nice restaurant (Friends) with nice staff and great food. Cool and comfortable cottages, warm sunny days (stayed in B-cottage).
A place to go again.
Disadvantage of paying to shower.

Ursand

Everything is open to the public even the pool. You pay for your campsite, then you share the whole campsite area including playgrounds etc with basically the whole Vänersborg. Worn and relatively run-down. Would definitely not say it's five-star, possibly 20 years ago.

Not the place for you who want peace and tranquility

Nice location. Many non-residents of the campsite who come to the beach/park/football court during the day and evening. Are you looking for a quiet and quiet camping is not this place for you. Here there is life from morning to late evening. Payment for showering pulls down, and toilet-kø since several of the toilets are in the same room as the showers. Should have more separate toilets.

Nice surroundings but terrible camping

A single swarm of cottages, seasoners, tents and motorhomes placed everywhere there was a free space. And everywhere this artificial grass that became like a splash pool after the rain that came. Too many people and not a quiet moment. The restaurant was worn and the food was cold. Paid almost 1800kr for three nights, yet you had to pay extra both for shower and latrine emptying. We stayed away from the campsite as much as possible, lucky we had bikes with us.Down at the guest harbor it was quiet and nice hiking trails.
Maybe fun for families with children (if you want to pay extra for access to the pool, miniature golf, petting sheep, riding the train and other activities) but for a couple in middle age it was absolutely terrible. Not recommended!!

5 stars. When?

What a joke to call this place a resort. And let these sun-bleached 5-stars remain that probably have been there since the place opened. Was it 83? Judging by the decor, I'd guess so. Everything cost, including emptying the latrine. Now I'm new to motorhome life in adulthood. But I like to look for a certain standard for my visits. This place wasn't up to scratch.
And so Bert Karlsson who apparently runs this place has built a restaurant/”spa”/lounge in his honor where his picture adorns every wall from floor to ceiling in a less than tasteful way. He rides around there in his permobile, yelling at his employees to fix one with the other. No, tasteless will be the word that rounds off this review.
