Perfect Escape
The team made the experience even more special. Every staff member was warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful. They surprised us with a room upgrade with a huge patio an incredible view which made the stay feel even more memorable.
We rented couple of E bikes had such a fun and refreshing way to explore the stunning surroundings.
Dining was also a highlight. Both breakfast and dinner at Brynn Williams at The Cambrian were absolutely delicious. Every dish was fine art and flavourful. Also, the latte macchiato for breakfast was so good.
Everything about this stay simply amazing. amazing Truly a perfect trip for us. About an hour from Interlaken - highly recommended!

The footsteps did not want to leave the beautiful view
Putting everything else aside, the view is overwhelming.
You can see the view from the lobby in the room as well, and if you plan to go to Cambrian, I recommend choosing the mountain view even if you have to pay an extra fee. Or I don't see much reason to go here.
1. Room It is simple, neat, and has no flaws.
2. Swimming pool The pool is indoors, and the outdoors should be considered a spa. And photography is prohibited in this area.
3. Breakfast: It wasn't diverse, but the ingredients were good and I was satisfied.
This is a hotel I definitely want to go back to.

Basic Hotel - High Price (Upselling Concept, low quality service and restaurant)
The hotel concepts are laid out for upselling. The marketing is for a upscale hotel, the reality is not there.
Example:
- The basic omelette is included in the breakfast. The omelette with Tomatos - upselling (and they then add prices like a luxury hotel)... and yes many other areas where they implemented the upselling concept. At these room rates, this is like ridiculous.
- At the restaurant we asked to eat outside as they have a nice terasse and its summer. But they said they closed the Terasse as it rained once before and now wont reopen it again (although it was like 30 degrees, no rain and super sunny). They were just not in the mood to do the extra work. I then asked for a table closer to the window to see the maintains, they answered: "I prefer not too". Only when I insisted they granted that we can sit at the window. Strange experience.
- The indoor pool is only heated to 28 degrees and thus feels bit cold to go in (I know that is taste thing but kids do prefer to have a higher temperature to feel comfortable - and most people I know also prefer to relax in warmer water).
- In the bar area the closed one area because it seemed to rain a bit at 6pm. Although it never came with rain and looked good again at 10 they still kept it closed and did not reopened to make it comfortable.
- The restaurant tries hard to make itself upscale also in how they present. Unfortunately the quality is not there. They are ok, but not something where you feel there is a special taste or oh this is good. Just yes thats ok. However the prices are similar to any top restaurant. For me the restaurant was probably the most disappointing of all, next to the service.
- When asked what we can do around here we did not got a real answer but just a lot of flyers "to have a look at" ourselves.
- There are hotels where you come and just feel comfortable and welcome. And there are hotels where you arrive and somehow don't feel welcome from the first moment. This is how we felt here. Also during checkout, immediately when we were few min after 11 they started to call us that we need to get out now.
Overall its nice - not bad. But we have been in many mountain hotels that were in similar quality with probably 30-50% of the price and better restaurants and service.
Thus probably recommend to look for another hotel where you get same or better for less money. I would not stay here anymore.

At breakfast, we offer a generous buffet with a wide selection included. A number of additional dishes can be ordered separately for a small supplement. This is not intended as an upselling concept, but rather as an optional extra alongside an already complete breakfast offering.
Regarding our terrace, the decision to serve indoors or outdoors is made before service begins, based on the weather forecast. As operating the terrace requires a different setup and organisation, moving the entire service during the evening is unfortunately not always possible. In the mountains, the weather can also change very quickly, so our team is trained to make this decision in advance to ensure a smooth service for all guests. We do, however, understand that on a warm and sunny evening this can be disappointing.
Our indoor pool is maintained at approximately 28°C, as many guests also use it for swimming or to cool down after the sauna. For guests who prefer warmer water, our outdoor pool offers a different experience. Of course, we appreciate that the ideal temperature is very much a matter of personal preference.
The same applies to our outdoor bar areas. With sudden mountain showers, we sometimes need to close these spaces at short notice and always try to reopen them as soon as conditions allow. We are sorry if this was not handled well during your stay and will discuss your comments with the team.
We are also sorry that our restaurant did not meet your expectations. We are fortunate to receive a great deal of positive feedback on both the cuisine and the service, which makes it all the more disappointing to hear that your own experience was different.
Most importantly, we regret that you did not feel genuinely welcomed. Regardless of the operational reasons behind certain decisions, our guests should always feel well looked after and that their requests are handled with warmth and care. We will therefore take your comments regarding the service, local recommendations and departure experience seriously and review them internally.

Nice hotel with friendly service
We especially liked the versatile spa area. The breakfast was high quality and offered a large selection. The cozy bar was the perfect place to let the evening wind down. Clear recommendation!
