Disappointing.

Beautiful from the outside, the bungalows are also quite pretty. However, in ours, the heating in the foyer was running at full blast and could not be turned off. The shower takes forever to deliver warm water. During the time, it drips down from the solid rain shower ice-cold. The breakfast is inadequate. Square ham (there is nothing more to know about it). No muscle grows in square shape) and a type of sausage from the wholesale market. 2 types of cheese without any flavor from the wholesale market. No muesli, only cornflakes and sweet chocolate stuff. No dried fruits, no nuts. Bircher muesli made with squeaky pink ready-made yogurt. Tiny portion of scrambled eggs. 2 types of boring bread. And that at the exorbitant prices. We were there for 2 days. When we returned from the excursion on the first day, the cleaning lady had left all her utensils in front of our door. Well, that is not too bad. But that she leaves the terrace door wide open, allowing anyone to enter the room, that is unacceptable. I cannot recommend the hotel.

Unfortunately no recommendation

There would be much to write about; in short-the house has experienced better times.
The rooms in the park are from another time, cleaning inadequate (hair on toilet), very ring-hearing, in the old part of the castle itself also everything quite run down, seating furniture partly stained, worn.... no service in the bar, you have to get the drinks going across the yard in the restaurant itself.... well....
Food and service in the restaurant good!

Lots of money away for little performance

Everything is very old and the staff at breakfast unfriendly, speaks only broken German. Offer sparse and not served pleasantly, on weekends the tea was not replenished, tables are not cleared, goes forever until one puts the dishes away. Only one coffee machine the second was broken, long queue for a coffee.
Reception in the evening was only there learners, could not help us and put us off until the next morning.
Every morning we were woken up by a barking dog in the car.
Rooms are not really clean, disappointing for such a box. Surroundings in front of SPA area is not pleasant, untidy.
We are very disappointed - price performance is not right

Disappointing, customer friendliness feels different

The wellness house was cozy and functional. The promised dog blankets were not available. The cleaning did not take place on the first day. Although we auditioned on site, this was not done. For a refund, they wanted to inform us on the spot what did not happen. Too bad for such a hotel! In hindsight, we were supposed to have had the dogs present and alone in the room, although we were all absent. So we paid for 5 days 225.- for cleaning (Only for the dogs) which is a lot of money, especially since 1 day was paid by us for nothing. Breakfast is very low category. On 1. Day we asked for scrambled eggs. Answer: You wouldn't have enough staff. 4-5 types of finely sliced cold cuts, 3 types of small appetizers of cheese. Orange juice not freshly squeezed. Overall, you don't feel welcome, as even staff not at all courteous and friendly in the restaurant (in the morning) For guest card, wristband for thermal bath etc. you have to walk to the reception every time again. Could be informed and done at check in. For 1,700.- / 5 days, I experienced much nicer holidays and was also served friendly. Sorry, but that's not possible! I'm more than disappointed. Never again..

Misadvice and poor comfort – a big disappointment!

Our stay at Hotel Schloss Ragaz was unfortunately a huge disappointment. On the explicit recommendation of a staff member at the reception, who recommended the room “Yellow snail” based on her own positive experiences, we booked this for two nights and paid 610 CHF.
As soon as we entered the room, we noticed that the hot tub was on the balcony and – unlike other rooms – there were no privacy screens or curtains. Due to the cold and strong winds, the use on the balcony was absolutely impossible. This point we still would not have evaluated further, if it were not for the massive defects in the room itself.
The sleep experience was an absolute disaster: Although we travelled as a couple, the bed consisted of two single beds pushed together, which squeaked extremely loudly with every slight movement. The pillows were an imposition – there was only one wafer-thin pillow per person, and for the first time in a hotel there was no spare pillow in the room. Since the room was hardly insulated, we didn't turn a blind eye all night because of the whistling wind and a loud noise that repeated about every half hour.
When we described the situation the next morning at the reception, the shock followed: The gentleman present openly explained to us that these rooms “are not actually rented out at all in winter.” Although we were obviously deceived by the faulty advice of the colleague, no refund was given. The alternative room offered to us was also outdated and smelled unpleasant, so we could not accept it.
Conclusion: More than 600 CHF and two valuable vacation days were completely wasted here. I absolutely cannot recommend a house that offers such poor sleeping comfort to its guests. An excessive disappointment
