Excellent overnight stopover

Very friendly and welcoming.
We were on a long drive and looked for a quick overnight stay. Frick is very close to main road and this was the first guesthouse we found. Nothing fancy, very comfortable bed and hot shower. Just what we needed. Reasonable price at 135chf for the evening.

When the chef is on vacation and customer satisfaction doesn't count.

Actually, you can expect a great meal at the Eagle if the word temporary weren't. Unfortunately, we caught the day when the chef has vacation, the temporary staff can't read and customer satisfaction doesn't count.
Ordered:
- Valais rösti (instead of tomato, onion)
- Pork steak with calvado cream sauce and butter buttons
Get:
- burnt rösti with leaking fried egg on top (for a vegan)
- boiled and hard Niersteak (pleased the dog) with herbal butter and salted fries
Paid:
58.83

Since no refunds are possible through Eat.ch. And because I wanted to give an honest rating (3 out of 5) for an error, no credit can be made either. This is exactly how you treat regular customers, bravo
Thus 1 star for the food and Service.

Breakfast was included but rarely any choice.
If something ran out, it wasn't topped up. Had a boiled egg once in 6 days!
No air conditioning or fan in the room.
It was a small room with no air circulation in 34° heat, it was terrible.
The staff/owners couldn't speak English so I couldn't tell them the problems.
I would definitely not go back here or recommend it to anyone.
Worst stay in a long time.

Sehr freundlich

Wir sind öfters im Restaurant Adler in Frick. Die Bedienung ist sehr zuvorkommend. Man fühlt sich als Gast willkommen. Grosse Flexibilität - Extrawünsche werden berücksichtigt. Das Essen ist lecker, die Wartezeiten kurz. Wir werden den Adler in Frick gerne weiter besuchen.

Sauber, aber überteuert und renovierungsbedürftig.

Das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Die Zimmer sind sehr einfach. Kein Wasser etc. auf dem Zimmer. Dürfte dringend renoviert werden. Für den Preis von 154.- CHF einfach zu teuer. Roch nach Speisen im Treppenhaus. Einfach nicht mehr zeitgemäss.
