The staff was excellent when we checked in and our room was ready early. Our room was very comfortable and we had a nice balcony with a lovely view. The only negative was a small table between the two chairs was broken and not stable. Not a reason to dislike the room. And the pub attached to it was convenient, friendly and tasty after a long day walking.

Do not trust hotel pictures on websites

We needed to be close to the railway station in Geneva for one night stay before traveling by TGV to Avignon early in the morning. The hotel is located on Place Corvarin opposite side from the railway station. It is very noisy location because public transportation practically does not stop at night. There was no A/C and it was not possible to open the window because of the noise. The room was very old with some poor repairs done the way that nothing matches anymore. Do not trust pictures. The furniture is random and old, no nightstands in the room, old carpet. They charge more than 300 Swiss francs a night and call it "3 star". Judging by the price we expected a decent hotel. We did not eat breakfast (was not included) in the restaurant downstairs, which is a British pub and very loud until late night, but the restaurant and crowds there did not look inspiring. The bathroom was old with some basic things. There are 2 or 3 hotels next to Astoria and they seem like better ones. Our impression was the hotel is 30 years overdue for renovation.

Convenient hotel

The room was self-catering and has air conditioning and refrigerator. The room was clean and clean. There is also a small TV and baggage storage after check-out. The staff was friendly. Cornavan Square was very convenient for moving and shopping nearby.

Cleaning and staff very good. Location perfect right in front of main train station. Restaurants and city center on walking distance basis. Structure very old but clean. Breakfast not so good, so try to have it somewhere else. I went for bussiness, so it was a good place to stay.

Great location if need easy access across Geneva. Across from train station and near multiple bus lines. Across to cafes and shops for quick meals. Single rooms are convenient and well priced for travelers who mainly need a place to stay.
