Wonderful Christmas Time 2025

After listening to and watching the music video “Last Christmas” by Wham! for more than 40 years—entirely filmed in Saas-Fee—I always dreamed of celebrating Christmas here one day with my family.
That wish has now come true. We stayed at your hotel and checked out today, and we truly spent a magical Christmas time. The hotel, its location, facilities, and especially the staff were wonderful and incredibly helpful.
It is such a cozy hotel, and from the very first minute we felt we were exactly in the right place. The rooms for our family were fabulous and perfectly suited for us.
Thank you once again for making our Christmas so special.

See through bathroom / toilet

Really nice hotel close to the centre of Saas Fee . Limited catering with breakfast only available but the food was good . Our room , on the first floor , was a King Size double , very comfortable and clean . However , there is no privacy between the bathroom / toilet as the walls are glass panels . We even had to close the curtains as people on the street could see into the bathroom ! We had requested a room with a private bath room / toilet but this was going to cost extra . Our overall experience was good .

We would like to clarify the point regarding the bathroom privacy. After your booking, we informed you that the room you had reserved features a glass-panel bathroom design and explained the layout in advance. At that time, we also offered you an alternative room in the same price category with a different bathroom configuration. As you chose to keep your original reservation, we were happy to accommodate your preference.
Upon your arrival, our hotel was fully booked in your room category, so unfortunately we were no longer able to offer a room change without moving to a higher room category, which would have involved an additional charge.
We appreciate your understanding and are pleased to know that, overall, you had a good stay. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again and help you choose the room type that best suits your preferences.

Lovely location great spa and views

Lovely. First ski holiday. Quick access to the slopes with a nice room for boots with heaters to keep them dry. Decent breakfast of real Swiss food. Loved the fresh bread. Impressive spa with 2 jacuzzi - mix of nudity and swimmers. Rustic but modern room with lovely view. Will return

Great, relaxed hotel for families and couples right on the slopes

We loved Amber Ski-In-Out Hotel & Spa as a family. Super friendly staff, totally relaxed -- yet modern at the same time, with a good spa and ample breakfast buffet that had everything we wanted to eat for breakfast. The location is excellent, right on the slopes.

Top room, the rest was a disappointment

The room was great, nothing to criticize. Really nice room. Unfortunately, I do have a number of points that I am not entirely enthusiastic about. I don't think the staff is very enthusiastic and there's not much energy coming from it. Breakfast is also very disappointing. Now I don’t know if it’s because we didn’t come into the ski season, maybe the breakfast is extensive. They only have baguettes (which is very hard), croissants and sugar wafers in plastic from the supermarket that are mega dry. Furthermore, it is egg, bacon and some yogurt and toppings. Croissants are sometimes already gone when we come and so grab wrong. I actually only had a croissant every morning, because the rest was really disappointing. We also booked a room with a mountain view. The pictures on booking showed a nice view of the glacier. The view we got? Very tall trees that stood in front of the mountains. So no view of the mountains.
They don't have a restaurant for dinner, which certainly doesn't matter to us. So we used the downstairs kitchen and microwave twice. Have so prepared some themselves to eat downstairs. When we were having a nice dinner downstairs, the staff member from the desk downstairs came to sit with us with I think someone who came for an application. And they started talking very loudly in Italian. Totally not taking into account that we sat there at ease eating. So we were done with it very quickly and left.
The same man was also at check-out. He asked if we wanted a ride with the cart to our car, so we were happy to say yes. So he went to call and said nothing else and sat down. So we loaded our stuff into the car ourselves. After 5 minutes of waiting, another man from another hotel came and dropped us off at the garage where the car was parked. Apparently, he called him. The employee of this hotel? Not even a happy day or goodbye came off. He didn't say anything to us or help with our stuff.
All in all, room is fine! The rest? 1 star! Hence absolutely no tipping.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the shortcomings you encountered. We are especially sorry to hear that the breakfast did not meet your expectations. We would be grateful if you could clarify what you would have liked to see on the buffet, as this helps us improve. Croissants and all other breakfast items are available throughout the entire breakfast service, and if anything ever runs out, our staff will gladly replenish it.
Regarding the staff interaction, we are very sorry that you felt uncomfortable while using the lounge and that you did not feel welcomed during check-out. This is certainly not the level of hospitality we aim to provide. We would also like to clarify that we do not have Italian-speaking staff, so the conversation you overheard was likely not from our team. Nevertheless, we apologise that it affected your comfort.
We would also like to mention that you booked specifically a room that included a river view. We are sorry if this did not match the scenery you expected, and we appreciate your feedback so we can ensure our room descriptions are as clear as possible.
