Clean Hotel in Convenient Location
Panorama is in an ideal location, i.e., ca. two minutes walk from Scuol-Tarasp train station, where also the major Postauto (bus) lines depart and arrive. This super convenient location will come with some street noise, naturally.
The owner, Sebastian, is very kind and supportive. He reminded us that with our "Kurtaxe" (visitor's tax) came with free access to Rhätische Bahn, Postbus, and all sorts of lifts in the area for the duration of our visit, a great bonus of staying in the Unter-Engadin. The personnel is equally friendly and supportive.
Our room was medium size, and came with a desk, a safe deposit box, a small balcony (seating one), and a small refrigerator, but w/o A/C, which is natural for a place at the altitude of ca. 1200m. With global temperatures rising even in mountainous areas, one has to be prepared for an occasional hot night, where opening the windows brings some relief.
The hotel is labeled "garni", which means it provides breakfast, but not lunch or dinner. Restaurants are next door (there is a deal with the Bellaval Hotel, allowing access to their spa facilities, which we did not try), or a short walk into Scuol town. You can even sign up for affordable meals at the Youth Hostel next door. Breakfast was very decent, not luxurious, but very sufficient in terms of quality and quantity. Cappuccino was available on request
The hotel was able to help us with an adapter for the strange Swiss-specific type N 230V outlets, which did not accommodate our Euro adapter. In any case, the desk offered one Euro-compatible plug.
Since I prefer simple, clean, and small hotels, where you have a name and not just a room number, this would be a natural place to return to.

Here, the guest is more than just a king.
Absolutely great reception; first, we received a bonus in the form of a balcony room. The staff is very nice, and the owner is fantastic; it was just fun, a true feel-good hotel.

Highly recommended
A big thank you to the whole staff, who were always courteous, friendly and funny without exception.
The hotel is, as advertised, very cheap considering all the "goodies" on offer (2 outdoor pools, sunbathing lawn, saunas, whirlpools, plenty of free parking and much more).
The generous breakfast buffet is also worth mentioning, which leaves little to be desired.
I find the concept for dinner interesting and excellent. I am convinced that many costs can be optimized with it.
The hotel is, as advertised, very cheap considering all the "goodies" on offer (2 outdoor pools, sunbathing lawn, saunas, whirlpools, plenty of free parking and much more).
The generous breakfast buffet is also worth mentioning, which leaves little to be desired.
I find the concept for dinner interesting and excellent. I am convinced that many costs can be optimized with it.

Dissapointed
I was very excited to book a corner room here with a huge wrap-around balcony.
We had booked four nights, but arrived one day late due to a flight cancellation.
When we arrived, we were assigned to a different room with a TINY balcony, only large enough to accommodate one chair. Sebastian said it was because we arrived a day late and he gave our room to another.
Okay. I guess I can understand that, but then we discovered the we were charged the same rate for the inferior balcony room. He said that rooms with ANY balcony were considered "superior".
See the photo I have posted of the room diagram and note room 104 vs 102. BIG difference.
Other than that, it was lovely. The food was good. The spa at their sister hotel was a nice retreat. Christiane and Sebastian were lovely, too.
This location is good if you want to be near the cable car, but it is adjacent the main highway thru the valley (27). It is busy and loud with traffic during the day. Not a huge deal when trying to sleep as we always travel with earplugs (and you should, too).

Charming, comfortable, friendly and a great location for this mountain spa town
Our trip to Scuol for a spa day was last-minute and the Hotel Panorama was a real find. It's conveniently located near the rail/bus station and one of the ski lifts and only a 10-minute walk into the center of town. The hotel is a charming combination of Swiss traditional and Swiss modern, which makes for a pleasing experience. The room and bathroom are immaculate. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and there is plenty of closet space, a desk, television and refrigerator. The hotel has a lift, a large breakfast room and the buffet features meats, cheeses, pastries, breads, fruits, yogurt, etc. There is outdoor seating with a view of the mountain range across the valley and ample parking, that is free. Sebastian, the proprietor, is very friendly, helpful and will gladly answer your questions.
