Great hotel in Zurich

A fantastic stay!
Perfectly located within easy walking distance of both the old and new town, with tram and bus stops right outside. The bed and linens were the best l've ever experienced, and the super-soft, fluffy towels were a real treat. Rooms cleaned daily. Water pressure is great, lovely hot shower. There's also a
gorgeous bakery just opposite.
The staff were wonderfully friendly and welcoming. Quick check in too
Highly recommended!

No air-conditioning!

Be warned: there is no air-conditioning, which is a huge downside during the summer. If you have a room on the street, you won't be able to keep the windows open at night (too much noise). Sound-proofing is good, but still. If you want a quiet room, you need to double-check that it's not on the street side—the hotel doesn't always take these requests into account.

However, we would like to clarify that our hotel does not have air conditioning in the rooms. We strive to be transparent about this on all our sales platforms. For optimal comfort, we provide fans in all rooms and recommend their use. We also attempt to offer our guests optimal sleeping comfort through helpful tips and tricks (keeping curtains closed during the day, cross-ventilating at night). We are very sorry that this was insufficient during the currently unusual hot days.

Perfect stay, fantastic service and great location

We spent 4 nights at the Sorrell Rex Hotel Zurich and had an absolutely wonderful stay.
The location is ideal — right next to a tram stop, with just a 5‑minute ride straight into the city centre. As vegans, we were looked after brilliantly; they even prepared special vegan croissants just for us! There was also free fresh fruit and juice available in reception throughout our stay.
Rooms are a good, average size, but the beds were incredibly comfortable and the pillows lovely. We also appreciated the great in‑room coffee machine and a tall, effective fan.
Every member of staff was friendly, polite and helpful. I was genuinely sad to leave. This is a fantastic hotel — we would happily stay here again and highly recommend it!

Great hotel

Very nice hotel in a very convenient location, close to the center, yet quiet and easily reachable by tram. Very kind staff and excellent breakfast. The only note is that it is a bit expensive, but it is Zurich, so prices are already high by nature.

We did check-in with a front desk person which was much easier for us. The room was spacious, light and very comfortable. The breakfast was very complete and tasty, The only downside was that the elevator stopped working an afternoon, evening and departure the next morning. This did not affect us since we always walk the stairs. This would have been a challenge for disabled or infirm guests.
