I’ll be coming back!
Clean, good bathrooms. Friendly staff, nice with a bar and food. Close to subway, convenience store, parks and sights. I could walk The picturesque narrow harbins around the hostel for hours and look at the small shops of handcraft at the artist’s community close by.

Accommodations with easy access from the airport for late night arrivals
Right next to Starbucks Coffee, a 5-minute walk from Lama Station.
A hostel that is easy for foreigners to book.
It's expensive considering the services offered.
The location is great.
There are no curtains in the dormitories.
Unisex toilets and showers.
You need to lay your own sheets etc.
There are days when staff who don't speak English are on duty, so you'll need a translator for important things.
The deposit is 200 RMB.
This will be refunded in 200 RMB notes at check-out.
When I checked in later, I was able to have the deposit reduced to 1,000 JPY.

Good Location Cheap Price
It is my first time to stay at Youth Hostel (some people called YMCA Hotel). Basically, the best thing is most of us are youth from all around the world, we sharing our experience and life in lobby!
The staff here is so nice and friendly, just like our family member. When we come out from MRT station, this hotel is only 10 minutes walk away in a few corner area. It is a nice place to relax and chit-chating. We took a ride on OFO bike to many attraction nearby, it is super convenience, just using Baidu Maps. Enjoy your trip. I kindly recommend this hotel, for cheap price, free and easy, more likely a home/hostel to stay for a few days or a period.

Decently priced, near a subway station.
Standard hostel. We stayed in a private room with ensuite. It's a strange hostel, used to be a prison and it's pretty evident from the hallways. Has an eerie feel.
We arrived late at night after a flight delay. We had informed them by email this was happening but still managed to cause a bit of a ruckus trying to check in as the night time staff member was asleep on the couch.
Room was average. Should be listed as windowless as the window was so small and high.
Pretty close to the subway station so good for visiting sights.

Staff makes you feel like you're in prison
It WAS actually a prison, which may be funny - no window in some rooms, long and dark halls ... it's already a bit spooky even though interesting to see.
But then comes the staff - depends on their mood: they might be rude, not wanting to help, very distrustful of their customers and not willing to make you feel enjoying your time ...
it's a shame. I wouldn't recommend
