The photos and description clearly suggested that the room was part of the main property, but the hotel claimed this was what I had paid for. When I raised my concerns, the only options given were to accept it or get a refund and leave — at 11 PM, which was extremely inconvenient.
In addition, the reception staff attempted to verify my date of entry into China, which I found inappropriate as immigration verification is the responsibility of border and immigration authorities, not hotel reception.
Overall, the experience felt misleading and frustrating. Please carefully confirm which building your room is actually located in before booking, so you don’t face the same issue.
