Our family trip to Sanya was made wonderful thanks to our stay at Grand Soluxe Hotel & Resort Sanya. From check-in to check-out, every part of the experience was smooth and enjoyable.
The hotel has an excellent location, just a short walk away from the beach. We could easily go for a walk by the sea, enjoy the sea breeze and watch the sunset every day. The rooms are bright, clean and well-furnished, with comfortable beds and good sound insulation, so we had a great rest every night.
All the staff were polite, warm and attentive. They greeted us warmly whenever we met, and helped us solve our problems patiently. The buffet breakfast was rich and delicious, with both Chinese and Western choices to meet different tastes. The public areas and swimming pool were clean and well-maintained.
This hotel is absolutely ideal for family vacations and leisure trips. We had an unforgettable time and will definitely choose to stay here again when we come back to Sanya. Highly recommended to everyone traveling to Sanya!

Grand Soluxe: 5 stars? It's funny. But Hainan saved something else.

This was my first trip to China, and unfortunately, the Grand Soluxe Hotel & Resort Sanya was the main disappointment. I want to warn everyone: DON'T GO FOR A BATH ON A BALCONY OF THERMAL WATER! It's a lie. It is stated in the specifications, but not in fact. We specially took a room with a sea view so that on rainy days (fly out of season, know about the weather) we can compensate for the bad weather with hot baths. But when we tried to change the number, they just offered us an extra fee.
What's wrong with the hotel:
· Real level: It's from a 3+ or a 4-. No "Resort" is even close. You get the feeling that someone translated the description with a crooked translator and hung stars from the ceiling.
• There is no safe and no refrigerator, and you will need one, if not for cooling drinks, as for fruit, yogurt and other products, as the Resort only has breakfast.
· Spa no: The hotel does not even have an electronic massage, let alone a full-fledged spa.
· Food: Room service is just trouble (tastes terrible). The only thing that is more or less edible is a breakfast buffet.
· Staff: At the reception only communicate through an electronic interpreter. In matters of movement around the city, assistance is refused ("we do not interfere" - literally).
Separate "hello" to hotel guides:
Chinese women who speak Russian but don't understand you at all. To get results, you have to find them, summon them and stand above your soul. If you don't have WhatsApp or WeChat – you're missing: don't know the time of check-out for treatments and excursions. Their only "service" is not history or parks, but a shop tour for tea, silk and medicine, for this special thank you.
By the way, contingent: The vast majority are Chinese. Tourists from Russia and Kazakhstan are scarce (maybe we just got lucky)
My top advice for those going to Hainan:
Forget this Grand Soluxe. If you want a network standard, take the nearby Holiday Inn, the networks are responsible for quality.
But Hainan is NOT ABOUT HOTELS. It's about MEDICINE.
Be sure to learn traditional Chinese medicine! We discovered the Tibet Sanatorium (there are military doctors, excellent Russian speakers and free rides back and forth) and the Friendship Sanatorium and Resort Complex. Don't be afraid of the language barrier - there's nothing wrong with Russian.
The beaches here are municipal, the views everywhere are marvelous, crossing the road is easy (it is not MCAD, but a narrow two-lane). The island is very friendly, clean and safe. Just choose a hotel closer to the center and the beach, take the opportunity to take care of your health, not where they try to sell you a "balcony bath" for an extra fee.

Convenient location, helpful staff

We stayed at this hotel before our flight due to its convenient location near the airport. We would like to extend our gratitude to Nick, the Guest Relations Manager, who assisted us both on the date of arrival and after we left. He speaks good English and is a generally very kind, friendly person. Since we had a lot of luggage and we were planning to come back to Hainan after a trip to another country, Nick kindly helped us store our heavy luggage that we didn't need for that trip at the hotel's storage room. We kept in touch on WeChat. Due to some delays, we came back later than planned, and Nick assisted us in sending one suitcase to another location with our driver. And when we finally came back to the hotel to pick up the remaining luggage that had been safely stored longer than expected, Nick kindly assisted us again. Thank you, Nick!

ocean view room

Sanya Sunshine Hotel is such a hidden gem of a five-star hotel on Sanya Bay! I was totally blown away by the 180° ocean view room—open the window and you’ve got the blue sea, clear sky and coconut groves right there. It’s so nice to soak in the bathtub on the balcony while watching the sea. The smart room controls are super easy to use, and it’s just a few minutes’ walk to Coconut Dream Corridor beach. The hotel’s big swimming pool, kids' play area and fish spa hot spring are perfect for family trips, and the staff are really sweet and thoughtful. The breakfast has tons of Chinese and Western options, getting around is super convenient, and the whole experience from check-in to check-out is amazing. The service is so attentive and warm, I’ll definitely stay here again when I come back to Sanya!

Had an incredible first experience at Sanya Sunshine Hotel, staying in their ocean view room! The room is brand new, spotlessly clean, and beautifully designed—the ocean view from the room is absolutely gorgeous, making our stay so relaxing.
The breakfast here is excellent with a wide variety of options. Local specialties, international dishes, fresh fruits and pastries—all fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. We loved our morning meals with the sea view.
What made our trip even better was the rich parent-child activities available. There were fun games, craft activities, and interactive sessions that kept our kid entertained all day. The staff were friendly and efficient, ensuring a smooth and pleasant stay.
Sanya Sunshine Hotel is definitely a top choice for family travel. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to visit again!
