I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional service provided by your team during my recent stay at Canopy Chengdu on Dec.19-21.
When I was unwell and required assistance with mobility, Manager Yu and Security Manager Sun went above and beyond to help transport me safely back to my room with a wheelchair. Their professionalism, discretion, and genuine care during this situation truly exemplified the highest standards of hospitality.
Their response was both efficient and compassionate, handling a challenging moment with remarkable grace. This level of service reflects the quality of leadership and training at your property.
Please extend my heartfelt gratitude to both Manager Yu and Security Manager Sun. Their kindness made a difficult situation much easier, and I am genuinely grateful for their assistance.

Very modern hotel with plenty of thoughtful local touches
Very clever design and artistic elements to reflect Chinese culture. An absolute obsession with pandas including mini statues outside each room, to reflect the fact we were in the panda capital, Chengdu. A nice mini gift very in touch with local culture on arrival. And then a platter of treats delivered to the room.
The room was spacious, very clean and modern. Decent bathroom, big shower and Japanese style toilet with a touch screen. For some reason despite being warm outside there was REALLY hot underfloor heating in the bathroom area including the toilet and shower. It was too much, very uncomfortable so I asked the hotel staff to look into it and an engineer adjusted-definitely better after that.
Decent big bed which was very comfortable. The location of the hotel is fantastic. Right opposite one of the biggest metro stations with loads of shops and places to grab food. 10 mins walk from people’s park which is lovely to visit. And opposite Chengdu museum, only managed to do half of it but it was great (the puppet exhibition in particular) and also free to visit once you’ve registered.
The hotel staff were nice and spoke decent English. Good but fairly standard breakfast. We ordered cocktails once and they were fine but nothing special. This hotel was one of my favourites across the whole trip. Definitely recommended!
