A pleasant surprise

This Sheraton is close to metro station. Has the standard amenities you expect from Sheraton. The pool water temperature was perfect and sauna on site was just an added bonus. Front desk staff was friendly to Bonvoy member.

Pleasant Lakeside Setting but Upgrades and Better Dinning Needed.

The hotel sits along the shores of Taihu Lake-slightly away from the city centre-but its location within a residential estate and next to the Wanda Shopping Mall adds convenience. As a property under the Marriott Group, upgrading the interior décor and room amenities would help meet expected standards.
Furthermore, the quality and variety of the dining options could be improved to enhance the overall guest experience.

Too many issues

Staff are really nice and go out of their way to listen but there are too many issues with the hotel: cigarette but, hairs and a used plastic toothpick in the elevator was one of the first things we saw. I respect that they recycle slippers but ours were threadbare and had some on else’s hair in them. Air conditioning in the room just didn’t work. The room was completely stifling and it actually felt hard to breathe at times. The Executive Lounge is run by people who don’t understand Marriott standards when it comes to providing stocked up drinks and glasses and there are no non Chinese food options and no Executive Lounge at breakfast. Finally, this is not the hotel’s fault but guests were smoking inside the property including at breakfast. The staff asked them to stop and looked after us extremely well but there is just too much wrong for me to be able to recommend this property as a Bonvoy Titanium Elite member. I want to stress again how nice we found the staff’s attitude.

More shadow as light

Hotel already quite old but in good location. Suites are nice and big. Main negative point is the service and the lounge. Food not marriott standard, service unacceptable unfriendly. If you look for a good marriott hotel do not use this hotel.

Modern stay with Grand Entrance...

Stayed here for two weeks during my visit to Wuxi. The first thing you will see on entering the hotel is the grand foyer with enormous chandelier that will leave you wondering how it is possible. The overall comfort and service at the hotel is decent. Communication is a little difficult but they will do their best to help you. There is also a mall conveniently located just outside the hotel.
