Excellent Sea
The only thing that disappointed me was that the hotel had such excellent reviews everywhere that I arrived with very high expectations. Looking back, it’s probably better not to expect perfection.
The first room we were given was, honestly, a disappointment. Much of the bathroom, including the toilet, wasn’t working properly. The room looked outdated, and there was a strong sewage smell throughout. Since the toilet didn’t work at all, we had to use the public restrooms for the entire first day.
We informed the reception immediately after our arrival, and they told us we would receive a new room the following day at noon. They kept their promise, and I really appreciated that.
The second room was great. It was cleaned every day, the bedding and towels were changed regularly, and everything was spotless. The housekeeping staff were always kind, friendly, and smiling.
The food was good overall. It was a bit repetitive, especially at breakfast, but everything was tasty and we always found something we enjoyed. There was plenty of meat, vegetables, and fresh fruit for lunch and dinner, and the pizzas were excellent. We also loved the freshly made fruit juices prepared every morning.
The only downside of the restaurant was how crowded it was. Compared to the smaller hotels I’ve stayed at in Tunisia, the dining room often felt very busy and chaotic, with long queues and people cutting in line. However, the restaurant staff were amazing. They worked incredibly hard, always found us a table, cleaned and reset it quickly, and brought our drinks without delay.
I can’t really comment on the swimming pool because we barely had the chance to use it. Even though I went to reserve sunbeds on the beach at 5:30 a.m., the pool area was already completely full. For a hotel of this size, I think there simply aren’t enough sunbeds around the pool. That said, the pool area itself is beautiful, full of palm trees, flowers, and well-maintained gardens. It’s obvious the hotel takes great care of its grounds.
The sea was definitely the highlight of our holiday. I’ve been to Tunisia many times, but I’ve never experienced such beautiful water. During our 11-day stay, there were waves for only about two and a half days. The sea was crystal clear, calm, and the beach was very clean. There was plenty of marine life, which made swimming even more enjoyable. We didn’t see any jellyfish, although the little fish might nibble at your feet if you stand still for too long!
The hotel’s location is also very good. We walked to the Medina in less than 20 minutes, and it was a pleasant walk.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Despite the few issues we experienced at the beginning, we had a wonderful holiday. There are certainly a few things that could be improved, but they didn’t stop us from having a great time.

HORRIBLE FROM THE START

Excellent quality price
Staff of the restaurant very kind and helpful. Despite the large turnout they kept the buffet room tidy and always full of hot food.
The food was varied and very good, we did half board. For breakfast there was everything: fresh strawberries, yogurt and jams, croissants of all kinds, chocolate, pancakes and espresso omelets. Also of course there was a lot of salty choice.
At dinner we ate very well and we are Italian the food was fresh and tasty, pizza, pasta, couscous, main courses, lots of vegetables, hummus and desserts. The nights we stayed the dishes changed so you didn't have the feeling of eating the same things, we always digested everything very easily.
The property is located in the old part of hammamet 15 min walk from the old Medina and the fort.
Very convenient parking for cars.
The pool area very clean.
Cons: in the rooms, at least in ours, there was an unpleasant sewer smell. The fridge worked well but made noise.
The rooms should be renovated as they begin to show signs of ageing.
We were disappointed that the indoor pool cost 15€ per person and was not located inside the hotel as it seemed when booking.
Maybe the outdoor pool is small for all the people in the hotel, it was low season and it was full of people, I dare not imagine when it will be warmer.
The reception and bar staff should better explain the services offered.
One evening I asked for a chamomile and they told me that I would have to pay for it even though in theory it should be included in the open bar that we did not use because abstain.
In my opinion the price quality is very advantageous but if you expect a resort with entertainment, entertainment and various snacks is not the place for you. We loved it because we only needed a hotel to get around the surroundings and we were not interested in the beach, alcohol, swimming pool and entertainment.
However in the afternoon you could eat pizza and sweet crepes by the pool.
