Big 4 caravan Park 5 day stay.

The Big 4 in Canarvon, we had a pleasant stay even though it was a busy weekend with the big red dash on in town,WiFi was fine the amenities were old and had some upgrades carried out lately we had an enjoyable stay and would stay again.

Roaming dogs

Beware of roaming dogs ,this was from people living in the park that did not tether their dogs and were left to roam .. I spoke to a guy who told me there had been a few attacks , one little dog almost loosing an ear .. I was very wary and did not leave my dog outside of the van on a tether because of this … we have stayed there often and never had this issue before , but I’m not sure I will go back now …. Cheap park , and I would recommend if u did not travel with a dog ..

False advertising

The units are disgusting. Cockroaches in cupboards and ants. Pool is full of algae. Broken sumps. Cracked concrete. Toilets n showers in clean condition only 2 washing machines work out of 5. No fire extinguishers

Terrible place!!

My friend and I stayed here as they were helpful in allowing her dog to stay.The staff took a $50 bond for the dog....after seeing (and smelling) the unit , that is a joke!!
We walked in and the mouldy, mousey smell hit us...even after opening the window and doors the smell stayed with us all night. Might I add a sleepless night.
The bathroom smell coming from the drains was just awful. There appeared to be mould on the entry wall. There was no bath mat.
Our unit had a glass door with sheer curtains, so all the other guests could see straight into our sleeping area, and to further add to our insecurity, the door would not lock.
A power point in the kitchen area was coming off the wall. The mouse droppings in the same area were very apparent. One mouse got stuck in the bin and spent a long time jumping about trying to get out in the early hours of the morning.
The bedspreads looked very dirty, but the sheets were good. We both didn't like the plastic covers on the pillows which made a loud crackly noise every time we moved.
We realise this is a country area with ongoing issues that bigger centres don't have....but the room we stayed in was embarrassingly bad and we would recommend steering very clear of this accomodation.
I would sleep in my vehicle to avoid staying here again.

Surprised

We stayed at the Capricorn Caravan Park it does not have any grass but what it does have is WIFI through out the park no hotspoting it was fabulous unlimited toilet & Showers very clean
Allow yourself 4 days to see everything you can drive to the Blowholes but before you go into Carnarvon you can stay at the Blowholes for $22 a night it is a beautiful place
