Awesome accomodation. Proper European lodge vibes and fantastic service all round from delicious breakfast and dinners to a quiet drink after skiing.

Not accommodating for dietary requirements
We stayed and had no options for vegan food for the included breakfast or at the restaurant. Would be helpful to have alternative milks even. Convenient location and great proximity to other restaurants. Beds and pillows were not comfortable at all unfortunately.

Hello Emily Brady,
It is like talking to a moron and most likely that what it is. I have told you on many occasions- this is an Austrian-Swiss Chalet and we do not cater especially for vegetarian , vegan or alike , but meat lovers only - and as you have seen we have plenty of them - always fully booked out.
If you have a dietary problem you can do two things – bring your own food and even better option for you is to stay at home then you don’t have to whinge about the food. We do not offer sanatorium or a health resort with health food restaurant. Our breakfast is free of charge to all of our house guests and if you don’t like it you can always go out and purchase your own breakfast that satisfies your vegan requirements.
Majority of our guests are happy with their stay, our bedding and linen and the food, but as always there are always a few rotten apples in the bag.

Another one
We loved the style of the chalet, reminded me of Switzerland. Our room was comfortable, warm and clean. Jerry, the owner, is very nice and friendly. Breakfast provided was excellent and dinners available at the restaurant downstairs were very good. Czech and German style food is a speciality of the chalet. Superb smorgasbords available twice each week in season. Lovely lounge for residents with help yourself coffee/tea/cake/biscuits plus Jerry kindly sorted hot chocolates for our boys.

We went for half board including breakfast and dinner and this was fabulous. There was heaps of food and very yummy and it was much easier at the end of a long day of skiing to have that all organized by our fabulous host. Great variety and lots of it

Had a great stay at Kareila Lodge. Jerry upgraded us to a family room, and had plenty of room us. Room was comfortable. Had a lovely hot breakfast every morning, staff were fabulous. Two of us are vegetarians, had the vegetarian pasta, with a to die for plate of salad, was very nice.

The actual alpine experience. super cool vibe, don't come here looking for a luxury experience. If you want character, experience of the mountain, and accommodation that makes you feel like you're tucked away in Europe, this is it.
The restaurant is probably the best food on the mountain.
One more :
Cost, charming vibe full of eastern European decor, knock knacks and memories. We stayed in the double deluxe room. Our room exceeded our expectations. The bed was soft and cosy. Reliable and quick hot water. We enjoyed dinners at the lodge - an interesting variety. The Jamaican Chicken and the Parmagiana were both yummy. Enjoyed the sauna. Cosy little bar downstairs. We would come back.
Bed rating - 10
and there are more positive reviews like the above reviews, so as you can see I don't really care if you give us a zero rating or if
vegetarian, vegans or alike don't stay with us.

1. The location is not good, far away from the cable car; 2. There is no staff at the front desk, and the service is basically self-service; 3. After staying for 7 days, the carpet is not vacuumed; 4. The room is very small, with two beds in the standard room and the bathroom is about 15 square meters. ; 5, breakfast is average, the amount is small, basically rely on oatmeal to eat.
