Loved our stay
Stunning views from a luxurious apartment. We were on the 5th floor. Walking distance to Surfers and also local cafes and tavern.
Some simple changes would make a huge difference.
Not able to zip single beds into queens. No towel rails or soap holders etc in the showers. No bedside lamps.
Would stay again despite these issues.
4 bathrooms a plus.

Misleading no water view and unclean
We were disappointed with our stay overall. The Lotus Resort is NOT 5 star luxury.
While the apartment itself was spacious suitable for a large family or group and just a 15 min walk to Surfers Paradise Beach, several key issues impacted our experience.
The apartment description and photos were misleading, particularly regarding the advertised water view which our allocated apartment did not have. Instead we overlooked powerlines and dirty towels/cones on the roof of the pool house. This was very disappointing especially being one of the key reasons we booked this apartment. Cleanliness was below expectations, with stains on carpets & curtains. The pool area was very small and featured hard bench seating which was uninviting to sunbathe. There are a few things that could be done to improve this apartment including better cleaning and maintenance (we had a leaky shower in the master bathroom) bringing fresh towels, adding a mirror in the master, bedside tables/ lamps in all rooms, soap holders and air fresher near the smelly rubbish chute. The Lotus Resort is not somewhere I would stay again or recommend. Considering the price per night this was not luxury.

Great location but don't be mis-led like we were
The Lotus Resort is in a great location. Lovely and quiet but only a short walk to Surfer's Paradise. Unfortunately the rest of our experience was disappointing.
When booking a Penthouse-style apartment with 'city views' that is what we expected to get. However we were on Level 1 with a view that only looked into the apartments across the road. When we tried to discuss this with the Property Manager, he was rude and unhelpful. We feel the description of this property is false and VERY misleading.
The apartment was very, very dirty. With stains on carpets in every room, stains on the curtains and curtains hanging down from the rails. The apartment was missing so many of the basics - there were no pool towels provided until we asked, very few toiletries, no bedside lamps, very limited kitchen utensils (no bottle opener for example) and no seating by the pool. There was no servicing of the apartment over our 4 day stay. For the price that we paid we would expect a much higher standard of cleanliness and supplies.
