Very roomy and comfortable

We had the 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. It was so spacious with a huge living area, lovely kitchen with most requirements. The apartment also had a full laundry and very spacious balcony. The beds were very comfortable bedrooms also roomy with ample wardrobe space.
Although a little way out of town, it was quiet and very accessible. We had our elderly mother, and was worried as it was on the first floor. There was a ramp to the laundry which made access good.
Communications with the reception/booking agent were easy and very prompt.

Spacious place but with a few issues

We recently spent a couple of nights at Southern Apartments on Talune Street in the Youngtown neighbourhood of Launceston. We reserved our room through booking.com. Reservation confirmation through email was immediate, payment processed according to booking agreement. We didn't receive room number or entry password until we contacted host directly 15 minutes after scheduled check-in. They responded immediately with details.
Apartment included parking for one vehicle, two bedrooms, spacious living room, kitchen, single bathroom with shower, laundry room and outdoor patio. Furniture was basic but sufficient for short stays. Bed in master bedroom was very soft, shower pressure worked well in bathroom. Kitchen included some basic cookery, cutlery and kitchenware, stove and microwave.
There were a few issues with our flat. A few of the dishes were not cleaned properly by previous guests yet were put back in the kitchen shelves. Living room lacked coffee table or side table to hold drinks and shower didn't have any form of shelf for soap or shampoo.
Note there is an IGA, petrol station and few basic eateries on the main street nearby. Otherwise, it is a 8-10 minute drive into the Launceston town centre from the Southern Apartments.

Do not use them! Endangerment and false advertising,

I want to report these apartments for complete negligence and endangerment. They gave my apartment code to another random guest who I didn’t know and as such I arrived late in the night to find a random man in the lounge room. Also their cleaners came and told me I was meant to check out three days earlier than my actual check out date. The heater broke. They never responded to emails. It’s noisy by a highway.
They advertised as having a balcony with a view, which it is not. It was a deck onto a garage.

Fantastic place to stay

Fantastic place to stay. The host was easily contactable and was more then happy to accomodate our last minute booking request with an early check in. The apartment was basically brand new, massive and everything inside was very modern.
Price was great too

Beautiful, light, spacious and new

A lovely apartment with easy parking and coded entry. Masses of room in this very new and clean apartment. Gorgeous big kitchen and bathroom, comfy bed, big TV on the wall and blissfully quiet at night. About 10 mins from Launceston so you will need a car. Handy to travel to many attractions like Mole Creek, Cradle Mountain etc. Supermarkets and take aways close by. A million times better than any motel. Would definitely recommend.
