LAYBACK, RELAXING, LUSH GREEN BUSHLAND RETREAT
Beautiful bushland location. One bedroom accessible apartment with fold out double sofa bed in the living room. Sleeps four. Worth the money. Very clean and quiet. The proprietors Greg and Barb, were friendly, non intrusive and very informative about local restaurants and natural places of interest.
The apartment was accessible and as a manual wheelchair user it met all my needs. A couple of tweaks needed, an additional grab rail in the shower and an additional no-slip slip mat for the toilet in addition to the exisitng mat for the shower.
Overall, excellent comfortable accommodation, I'd go back again.

A Great Place To Relax & Unwind
After spending 3 busy nights in Brisbane CBD, the following 3 nights spent at Tranquil Getaways was blissfully relaxing. We occupied Villa 1 which was spacious & homely, with a well-equipped kitchen (has combo oven & an electric bbq on the balcony), separate bedroom with a very comfy King bed, decent sized bathroom (although we didn’t use the spa bath) and everything was thoughtfully organised, exceptionally clean and tidy. We were appreciative of the goodies supplied on our arrival and the message wishing me a Happy Birthday. Our villa was a very short stroll to Maleny Village where there are interesting shops to browse through. We didn’t realise that many of the eateries were closed Mon-Wed but the Maleny Hotel has a wonderful bistro and is always open. Otherwise there is a well-stocked IGA and Woolworths a few minutes walk away. One thing of fascination to us Kiwis were the local Flying Fox bats – very interesting to watch but if you are a light-sleeper, be prepared to be woken up by their shrieking and chattering noise around 4.30-5.00am (and again in the evening around 6pm when they fly off in search of food). Sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine and these creatures above us was very entertaining. We used Tranquil Getaways as our base while we also explored the surrounding townships (eg Montville) and over to Caloundra & Mooloolaba. On the morning of our departure, we hauled ourselves out of bed at 6.20am to try and find ourselves a Platypus. No luck on the viewing platforms but we were helped by some of the friendly locals and we finally spotted two in Obi Obi Creek from the boardwalk near Concept Coffee. Our trip was finally complete! We highly recommend Tranquil Getaways for a special and memorable stay.

The accommodation is in the perfect location in Malany, it is in the middle of town walking distance from the Pub and the showground. The rooms are spacious and modern, the bed was extremely comfortable. Barb the Owner was extremely helpful and welcoming, and made us all feel welcomed. We definitely will be back. AAA+++

Best of Maleny, best of almost anywhere!
This was a truly exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived I felt like I was visiting an old friend who was delighted to see me and eager to make me feel at ease. The generosity was truly remarkable. I highly recommend staying here. The location is phenomenal. My only complaint is I didn’t spot any platypuses but Tranquil Getaways couldn’t have helped with that.

Perfect location
This accommodation was in a fantastic location close to the main shopping precinct yet it was quiet..backed onto obi obi creek with its bushland and wildlife...Facilities were perfect for our needs and appreciated the breakfast pack provided.. our bonus was having the flying fox colony at the back of us and watching their antics... Communication was perfect....would recommend to couples or singles
