We only stayed overnight for work but the pool whilst a bit cold to swim in looked inviting. They had a picnic area out the back where the boys sat and are dinner. My husband said that the shower was awesome.

The hotel manager Vanessa is truly amazing.
From the minute I checked in she welcomed me with a warm welcome.
She was helpful and friendly!
The rooms are spotless and clean.
The beds are comfortable and the room has everything you need.
The location is very central close to a super market and bus station.

Clean and comfortable room. Well appointed with fridge, microwave and crockery. Quiet at the back of the property. Great air con. Parking. I did not go in the pool, but it looked nice and clean.

Mobility or physical disability avoid at all costs!!!!

If you have a physical disability or any sort of mobility impairment bypass this hotel completely as anybody who has a physical/mobility impairment I would advise to avoid Sunshine Beach Resort Hotel completely. As anybody who has a physical disability or mobility issues would know that planning to go away can be joyous and exciting it can also be anxiety provoking. You can’t really just decide at the last minute, spontaneity is not an option especially to somewhere new. We reserved this hotel around 3 weeks ago and on enquiry were told that it was wheelchair accessible and that there was availability for the period we requested. We explained that I was confined to a motorised wheelchair to which we were told absolutely there is a ground floor studio room which is accessible which would be suitable for the hoist and wheelchair, although the shower might be a little bit small, while disappointing that was ok as I could have a bed bath. After being told this we went ahead with the booking and received a confirmation email from the reservations team. On the email it stated that it was studio room 3A ground floor wheelchair. With less than 48 hours before our arrival we received a phone call to say that the room wasnt suitable with no room for 3 people one confined to a wheelchair so the lady said she was going to cancel our booking. When I asked her if she could leave the room reserved just in case I was unable to find alternative accommodation she replied no I will cancel it rather abruptly. I then asked her if she could recommend another hotel with wheelchair accessible rooms to which she replied no you will have to look on booking.com again rather abruptly without any apology or regret. This review is not for me I am writing this to warn others with any sort of mobility or physical disability to avoid this hotel at all costs. Fortunately after spending all day ringing around we were able to find accommodation at The Hilton Surfers Paradise. Yes it is a little more expensive but it is peak holiday period and the reservations team couldn’t have been more accommodating and attentive and went above and beyond to ensure we had a room, even to the extent of reconfiguring an entire room and also gave us a discount.
