Peaceful at Mt Field

Nice accommodation close to Mt Field Visitor Centre and Russell Falls. The cabins are modern, clean and well fitted out.

Quality Accommodation

Quality accommodation just a few hundred metres from the Mt Field Visitor Centre. Almost brand new, well designed, comfortable bed, good linen, fantastic shower, well equipped kitchen. Good communication / instructions. I would stay here again.

Nice convenient location to national park

We chose this property based on convenience for walking to the park. The accommodation was very nice and could tell it is fairly new. At times the keypad to open the door was a little touchy and not wanting to work if you were too quick. A box of tissues and roll of paper towels would have been nice to have. The shower was amazingly strong which we like. It was nice to be able to drive over to the picnic area in the park and use the electric grill near the river. I hope the property will be successful and would recommend staying here though if you are going to the park 1-2 nights is sufficient and it wasn’t busy at all while we were there.

A little gem near Mt Field

We had a wonderful stay at Mt Field Retreat. The units are new, modern and very well fitted out — everything felt fresh, clean and thoughtfully designed. The king bed was extremely comfortable, and the kitchenette made it easy to prepare simple meals.
The location is perfect if you’re visiting Mt Field National Park. It’s just minutes from the visitor centre and walking tracks, making it an ideal base for hiking and exploring the area.
One thing to be aware of is that there’s nothing open for dinner nearby in the evening, so you’ll need to bring your own food. That said, the peaceful, quiet setting more than makes up for it — it’s a lovely place to relax after a day of walking in the park.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable, quiet stay close to nature.

Luxe stay on the edge of a pristine heritage forest

Brand new pods on the edge of Tasmania's most diverse and oldest national park. The comfortable bedding, rainfall shower and state of the art kitchen made for a special stay. Many thanks to Greg for sharing his native plantings, yellow tail cockatoo sighting and extra tips to enjoy our stay. The location allowed do an early walk of the Three Falls Circuit before the day crowds arrived, then explore the alpine pandani grove and snow gums at Lake Dobson in the afternoon. The complimentary hot chocolate at the Waterfall Cafe was appreciated.
