Fantastic spot. Staff were so accommodating and kind. Amenities beautiful and clean.
We booked 5 nights and ended up staying 8 instead

Great park, great location

Really enjoyed my stay at this park. Great staff, great location, great facilities. Only small issue, had to change sites. Sandy dirt sites but well managed with water cart and strict speed limits to minimise dust. Pretty easy site access, short walk to Sunset Bar.

Generally ok with a few annoyances...

The good: The cabin itself was good. Kitchen well stocked with appliances and utensils. Good shower.
The annoyances. The cabins are right next to the road. Any sleep-in after 5.30am will need ear plugs.
There are threatening signs posted everywhere in the cabin. NO SMOKING. CHECK OUT TIME STRICTLY 10AM (underlined). Wash up and put away all crockery or utensils or you will get an extra cleaning charge. Children under 8 are not permitted in the top bunk. Use your door key to operate the air con. Talk about controlling behaviour!
Finally I had the nerve to ask about the dinner time for the sunset pub down the road (which is a fantastic place to watch the sunset and eat). The response was that "we don't go there" and "we don't know when they open" Apparently they wanted me to eat at their bistro on site and were not impressed that I would actually want to dine somewhere else. So much for fostering some community spirit in Karumba.
It seems that the new management has a bit to learn about looking after their guests.

Great helpful staff

We stayed in our caravan I had to change the dates and despite it being their busiest time of the year they accommodated our 21 ft van. I paid for the premier site but it was so worth it
Great views and more space on the site
The caravan park is at Karumba point but this is the area you want to stay where you see the amazing sunsets over the gulf
Good food in the pub and cafe nearby
The boat ramp is wonderful and walking the beach esp at sunset was great we could never tire of that

Great Park close to Normanton River.

Fantastic Park. From the Reception staff - cleaners- maintenance crew nothing but exceptional service. Park is very clean and roads maintained and watered regularly. Amenities big and clean. Washing machines and amenities at either end of park. Gold coin to operate washing machines. Pool area and playground very inviting. $55 p/n powered site +water.
