Well located and equipped apartment with friendly staff
Well located and beautifully appointed one bed apartment, inlcuded all the necessaries and then some. Staff were friendly and helpful (shout out to Nabi for being especially kind) - cleaning staff were approachable and kept the place fresh and spotlessly clean.
Only gripe was with some of the other guests being excessively raucous around the pool area in the evenings (one large group in particular) - given proximity to the rooms, made for less than restful evenings on occasion.

Consistently Amazing
Where to We had a fantastic stay at Mantra Aqueous in Port Douglas. The location is absolutely amazing—it's right in the heart of town and within easy walking distance of the beach, restaurants, cafés, shops, and the marina, making it incredibly convenient to explore everything Port Douglas has to offer.
Despite being so close to everything, the noise level was surprisingly low, making it easy to unwind and get a great night's sleep.
The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. It was also spotlessly clean, and the high standard of cleanliness throughout the property was noticeable from the moment we arrived.
The service was friendly and professional, with staff who were welcoming and happy to help whenever needed. The amenities were excellent, and the pools were a real highlight. Taking a refreshing swim on a warm tropical day was the perfect way to cool off and relax.
The staff are always so accommodating. Donnie the managers service is outstanding. I stupidly locked my keys in my room late at night on more than one occasion and always greeted me with a smile and telling us not to worry about it.

Great stay for trips to Great Barrier Reef and Cape Tribulation
The staff was very friendly, welcoming and professional. My nitty gritty requests were no problem. Tips for trips to Cape Tribulation and diving made my stay unforgettable.

Needs some TLC!
We have stayed at this property before, the last time 10 years ago & sadly not much has changed in that time - the rooms are now quite outdated & need a refurb, the carpets are quite dusty & the tiles dirty. We selected the 1 bedroom swim-up apartment based on the promise that the pools were heated. Sadly they were not, they were absolutely freezing & when I raised it on day 1 with the manager he spun an excuse & said he would get it looked at. After 8 days & many more asks we gave up! Very disappointing when travelling as a family & selecting a specific pool room that we paid more for which basically can’t be used. Our child lasted 5 mins max each swim. The location of the mantra is great but sadly this will be our last visit to this resort which is in need of some TLC. Definitely better places to stay in town for similar prices & basics like heated pools & clean/ modern apartments.

We sincerely apologise that the pool temperature was not what you had hoped for. Our pool heating system was only recently installed, and we are currently reviewing both the operating hours and temperature settings to ensure it delivers the best possible guest experience. As we continue to fine-tune the system, we have intentionally not heavily promoted this feature across all of our booking platforms. Your feedback is incredibly valuable and will certainly be taken into consideration as we make further improvements.
We also appreciate your comments regarding the condition of the apartment. While our housekeeping team works hard to maintain high standards of cleanliness, we recognise that some apartments are beginning to show their age. As each apartment is individually owned, we continue to work closely with owners to encourage refurbishments and upgrades, and feedback such as yours helps support those conversations.

We love it
10 stays in 13 years in Port Douglas and the last 7 have been with Mantra Acqueous. You just can’t beat the location - just off Macrossan St so you have the convenience of walking everywhere, without the noise under your nose. Great staff who understand customer service.
