Very good motel

Our accommodation was very pleasant with its beautiful bedroom and adjoining bathroom, as well as the very comfortable living room/kitchen also with its two relax armchairs.
The dedicated motel-type parking space near the room is also very useful.
The place is calm and relaxing...

Dreadful

This place is awful. We booked for a 2 bedroom sea view (2 double bed) room for 2 nights but left after one. It is very run down and grubby. The plasterwork and paintwork is poor. The bathroom was grim (and freezing) as was the second bedroom which resembled a prison cell, dark and dingy with a tiny window high up the wall which looked out into a wall of earth. The photos on the website are very misleading and do not accurately show the poor decor. The website describes the kitchen as "fully equipped" but there was no oven and what little kitchen utensils there were, were old and worn. The website also states there is "wireless internet". There was NO internet in room 2. After wasting over an hour trying to connect to the Wifi, came across a notice in the kitchen that said internet was only available in "some rooms". The owners, whilst living on site, take a very hands off approach to guests. No personal welcome when we arrived at 3pm, just the keys hanging on a fence with our name on it. At 10am the next morning we went to the office to advise that we were leaving and why. The office was locked up. We tried the buzzer on three separate occasions but there was no answer from the owners, so we left. The worst accommodation we stayed in during 18 nights in Tassie!

Hi Susan.
Just to correct a few inaccuracies (of which there are a number) so not to confuse, also holding people accountable on their comments.
"Run down", we just had major renovations including the exterior brick building being rendered 12 months ago and carports and balconies constructed. The photos attached (including the guest laundry) and the wall stain was are due to guests running the air conditioner with the windows & doors open and that can make your aircon temporarily leak water.
Our bathrooms have both under floor heating and a radiant heater which is appreciated by some in our winter months. The second bedroom has a window 1800 x 600 that takes up a third of the wall space. "The wall of earth" is actually a Gabian fence with landscaping which are pretty popular in these parts. Our other bedroom features views of the bay just to compare.
The photos on the website are remarkably from the Villa 2 apartment you stayed in and airbrushing is not on my resume. We don't advertise an oven, which is probably why you didn't find one, but we did have a enclosed BBQ on the balcony and our kitchens do have over a hundred items and a diswasher so I'm sorry you were not satisfied with it.
The Wi Fi , yes we had an issue with the 2 bedroom Wi-Fi that day. New cabling required to correct that and apologies for that not being available in your room. Your partner Phil spoke with Wisdom (the Manager) who lives onsite and on site from 2-6Pm , Phil received the office Wi-Fi details but these did not extend upstairs as discussed.
Our self check in details were emailed just prior to your arrival. We don't hang our keys on a fence. We do have an intercom not a buzzer which is routed to a mobile . I'm very sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. .

Enjoyable, clean, great location

Nice and clean, sunny, great location, has everything you need to be able to cook, nice views from the deck with a cute little table and chairs. Netflix is a bonus, easy parking, would recommend this place for a nice comfortable affordable getaway, even a friendly cat to greet you!

Ok, but needs some TLC

The unit was a good size but the bathroom was tiny. The kitchenette was well equipped but had mismatched cupboards, some beige, some white & showing dodgy repair work. The recliner chairs were old & very clunky & difficult to operate, need to at least be serviced.
We wanted to use the guest laundry but found machines to be full of site linen. It was supposed to be available for guests in the afternoon.
Overall an ok place to stay, but with some update & TLC would be a much nicer place to stay.

Very impressed

The villa was grand, with items we were not expecting. Dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine. And of all things sharp knives and steak knives. If I could give more rating I would and definitely be back again in future. It was clean well set up. Yes it has stairs but loved the idea of the living area and bedrooms. The room really impressed me. Even the upstairs toilet with the powder room. Pity it was raining the days were there so couldn't really sit out on the patio. Last day it cleared so could take in a little time with view and fresh air. The BBQ area was great but would be better with light. Only thing if I might be wrong the stove top, took a little long to heat up and cook. Only thing that needs a look at. But definitely would book again. Loved it
