Check in was great, Girls behind reception very helpful. Stayed three nights in 905, a corner one bedroom refurbished suite. Great view, two baloneys and everything that you could want including an iron and ironing board. Pool upstairs currently closed due to a chemical imbalance but the spa pool was large and had a great rooftop view down to the harbour. Gym basic but adequate. Unfortunately th local Grocer has closed down so good to know if you need a shop. Will definately return.

Helpful staff. Good size room. Great location with easy access to public transport and Sydney was close (walkable).

A big No No to Oaks Hyde Park

I have stayed at other Oaks before and this one is not an oaks that i know. Dirty carpets, a broken dishwasher and leaking fridge. The accommodation felt so small and on top of that there was not even a coffee table to sit back and enjoy a cup of coffee. I will surely not return and will not recommend anyone. I wish i had paid an extra bit and stayed somewhere better. It was for my 19th wedding anniversary i felt so sad after what we booked and i was also embarrased in front of my family. We travel a lot and this was by far the worse place to stay.

Overall good, but check-in lacked compassion

Overall, the stay was very good, and the accommodations, amenities, and room met expectations. However, the check-in experience was less than ideal. Upon arrival at approximately 1:30 PM local time, we were advised that we were not yet permitted to access the room. When we inquired whether the room was ready, we were informed that it was, but that entry would not be allowed until 2:00 PM. When asked for clarification, especially given our travel time of over 18 hours, guest services were unable to provide a clear explanation for the restriction. While this created a minor inconvenience at the start of the stay, it did not ultimately detract from an otherwise positive overall experience.

Short stay

Close to Hyde Park and surrounds having a kitchen was also handy to have meals etc. Also the bonus was having a walk-in shower for a elderly solo guest
