a masterclass in refined hospitality
Since the first minutes of walking through the lift at Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour, I felt welcomed. I coincidentally met Tristan Lawson, the Front Office Manager, who has given me a remarkably great, effortless welcome. Thanks to his proactive leadership, my suite was immediately ready so I could refresh and centre myself before diving into the city's vibrancy.
The soul of a hotel is not just in the beautiful suite but also in the people. Ava Milton, the Guest Experience Manager, was instrumental in making my stay at the property nothing short of wonderful. Her attention to detail and real care for the guest journey turned a standard luxury stay into a deeply personalised experience.
When it comes to getting around a sprawling metropolis like Sydney, the expert guide is in need, and Bianca Liu was a brilliant concierge. Her insights were razor-sharp, her recommendations were flawless and her assistance was invaluable in maximising my time around Darling Harbour and beyond.
Thank you to Tristan, Ava, Bianca, and the whole team for your stellar care. You have set a standard of excellence, and I look forward to returning.

Always a comfortable stay
My Husband and I were back at Sofitel Darling Harbour just for one night before we flew to Singapore.
Due to an issue we had with our stay in December 2025, we were kindly upgraded to a Junior Suite which was spacious and very comfortable.
Being Diamond Members we were able to access Club Millésime on lvl 35. We always enjoy our time in the lounge and utalised the afternoon tea, canapés & drinks as well as the breakfast. During this stay there was a lot of new faces in the team. Over the last 12 months this is our 7th stay at Sofitel DH so it was sad to not see a few of the regular team however Tommy & Phillip were lovely and provided great service
We also utalised the pool and bar during our stay. There is a great selection of food and drinks by the pool and love that we can just charge it back to the pool. One thing that doesn’t need to be reviewed is the pictures that are used on the Accor website for the pool area compared to what is actually available eg, the lounges/day beds. The ones pictured look to be a lot more comfortable compared to what is actually available.
Overall we always love our stays at Sofitel DH and look forward to returning in June.

A Room With A 'City' View.
With all the elegance and sophistication one would expect from Sofitel, Sydney Darling Harbour does not disappoint. Superb rooms with separate shower / dressing room and a picture window overlooking the harbour and city.
Add good service and an easy walk into the city and Sydney Harbour then this hotel is very difficult to beat -- definitely five stars.

Poor experience as a diamond Accor member!!!
Unfortunately the poor customer service lets down the Sofitel brand and experience.
Being a diamond Accor member I would expect at the very least respect and excellent communication. Facilities are beautiful but the staff are abrupt, rude and condescending when any issues are raised, despite going to higher management. Will never stay here again.
Save yourself time and go to the the city Sofitel

Absolutely amazing room.. staff were excellent! Good location! House keeping was fantastic too. Loved the stay!
